RegEx matches with several lines

1 New Member
How can I find the matches for bookings that meet the following conditions.
  • A booking always starts with a date.
  • A booking can consist of several lines.
  • Dates can be part of the booking text.

Here is an example:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. 2007-01-17;Gutschrift VESR;510;69370.00;2007-01-17
  2. ;000111090112970000000000179 CHF           170.00 000111090112970000000000179 CHF
  3. 2007-02-02;Vergütungsauftrag;-16814.9;52555.10;2007-02-05
  4. ;CHF 17.90  GEBAEUDEVERSICHRUNGSANSTALT ;;;
  5. ;CHF 25.00  KREDITSCHUTZVEREIN xxxxx ;;;
  6. 2007-02-05;Gutschrift VESR;132;52687.10;2007-02-05
  7. ;000111090112970000000000970 CHF           132.00 ;;;
I'm looking for a RegEx-Pattern that gives me 3 matches for the above example.
Match 1 should contain the contents of the lines 1 and 2.
Match 2 should contain the contents of the lines 3, 4 and 5.
Match 3 should contain the contents of the lines 6 and 7.

I have been trying with RegEx and I'm sure there must be a simple pattern to do my match but could not find it.
Any idea?

Kind Regards
Pirmin

I need to parse some HTML tags and display the style classes, and have it partly working, but need some regex / preg_match advise. If the tag is <td class="red" colspan="1"> I can display "td.red" If the tag is <td colspan="1" class="red"> my regex doesn't display the desired "td.red" ... I can't figure out how to skip over colspan="1" if the class doesn't immediately follow the HTML tag name.

I need to determine whether a text box contains a value that does not convert to a decimal. If the value does not convert to a decimal, I want to throw a MessageBox to have the user correct the value in the text box. I have the following code but when the user enters a decimal value the Regex.IsMatch catches it (ex. 250.50 should be allowed, but 250.50.0 should not). My code is as follows: if( ! Regex.IsMatch( tboxQtyCounted.Text,...

Is there relative source or document for this purpose? I've searched the index of "Mastering Regular Expression", but cannot get the useful information for C. Thanks in advanced. -- Learning is to improve, but not to prove.

Hi All, I am a VB 6 programmer who is now trying to learn C#. In doing so, I am trying to convert some of my VB modules to C#. I routinely user Reg Expressions in VB and am having some trouble trying to use Regex in C#. Basically, I have a fixed format text file which I need to validate prior to using in a program. The validation insures the data format matches what the program is expecting to find in the file. The pattern I am trying to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
