Hi, I know how to use javascript to change a background image to
another background image, and how to change a background colour to
another background colour. Is there a way to change an image to a
backgound colour?
I have a table with a background that has a picture. When the user
hovers over the picture I want the background to change to the
background colour of the rest of the page, as if to make the picture
disappear.

Hi,
my problem: I have some tables with transparent backgrounds, which are
changed in colours within a JavaScript DOM function to have a roll-over
effect.
Now, i can't get them back transparent when leaving the mouse out of the
rollover-box - background-color: none; seems not to work.
Isn't it possible to do this with CSS?

Within a form, the usual way of submitting it is to use e.g.
<INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="Send ">
This produces the standard button. Is there an easy way to portray this as
though it were a simple hypertext link?
Second question: Is there any way to customize a submit button other than
the text that it displays? i.e. can I change the colour and/or size?

Should be simple, but...
Wanted to put some nice bitmaps on my First/Previous/Next/Last buttons, so I
created four 16-colour bitmaps (as a test), used the traditional magenta
colour for the transparent, and added an ImageList to the Form. I added the
images to the ImageList, set the Transparent colour to Magenta, used the
ImageList for the button images, and.....
I still see the magenta on the buttons when I run the form...

Hello,
We are creating an Office add-in. We are able to
display the add-in successfully. However, we followed
a sample program, and it displays a FaceID = 1044 (which
is not the bitmap of the button we want to display). We
want to display our own custom bitmap.
How do we display our own custom bitmap instead
of the bitmap associated with FaceID = 1044?

I have a report that changes background colour when a running total
field hits a certain value...
Private Sub Detail_Format(Cancel As Integer, FormatCount As Integer)
If >= 2400001 Then
Me.Section(0).BackColor = 16053492
Else
Me.Section(0).BackColor = 16777215
End If
End Sub

Hey everyone,
My question is related to HTML, Javascript, CSS and ASP.NET but i think it belongs here!
Upon an event i am trying to add a semi-transparent colour across the page so the background is obscurred but i also set a div with a known ID to exist above this.
My current method has been to on the fly create a div which gets the screen height/width with javascript and then sets the image.
However, my div is created but does not...

I came across a message sometime back in 2002. Here's a link:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.javascript/browse_frm/thread/f10e3748f6f260c5/b0b1ac5840e445e5?lnk=gst&q=color+picker#b0b1ac5840e445e5.
The author tries to build a colour picker from scratch but his overuse
of <tdtags puts me off the solution. Here is something I just
created. It uses prototype, just because it makes life easier for me.

<script...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
