Buttons pick up one of the colors of the Windows color scheme chosen by the
user. In general, that is a good thing because the user is used to clicking
command buttons of that color and recognizes them. If you have other needs,
you can set the Button's Transparent property to Yes and place it over a
rectangle or label of the color you desire.

perhaps they are sad
show them some understanding and tlc and they may brighten up
seriously i would not even try to change the button color unless the
functionality of the button has to do with colors, users are used to a
consistant ui

If they notice them, on my requisition form I have buttons for Select
Bidders, Enquiry, Bid Details and Order. Each gets enabled depending on
if the package has progressed that far (e.g. if no order created yet,
the Order button is disabled). Not good enough for one client, they want
the bloody buttons to turn green as well :-(

I think Stephen Lebans has something http://www.lebans.com
but I would just use a label control.
If you add a label from the toolbox, (Special Effect Raised) you can
code it's Mouse Up (SpecialEffect = 1) and Mouse Down (SpecialEffect =
2) events to emulate the raised and sunken Special Effect of a command
button.
Code the label's click event as you would the command button.

This is driving me crazy. I'm having trouble with how a simple radio
button is displayed, in a simple html form.
The default has the outline around the radio button shaded gray only
in the top left hand side corner and on a white background it doesn't
show up very well. I've seen multiple examples of radio buttons that
are fully outlined in blue and the little dot is green. How the heck
do I do this??? I've figured out how to change...

Wanted to put some nice bitmaps on my First/Previous/Next/Last buttons, so I
created four 16-colour bitmaps (as a test), used the traditional magenta
colour for the transparent, and added an ImageList to the Form. I added the
images to the ImageList, set the Transparent colour to Magenta, used the
ImageList for the button images, and.....
I still see the magenta on the buttons when I run the form...

Hello!
I'm new to the Python language(about 2 months). Having done C programming for 2 years I find out I need Python for a final project, and have been trying to do get my head around object oriented programming. At the moment I'm simply trying to get the colour of a circle to change when you press a button. I've got this so far:
from Tkinter import *
class Op:
def __init__(self, master):

Hi
I have a search page which display a grid of master records. Those records
that have children have a hyperlink that takes the user to the Details page
for that record.
How can I implement a Back button on the Details page that will take the
user back to the original search page with all filter/search criteria and the
grid filled in?

How close can you get to making a submit button look like a link?
Answers to the inevitable questions:
1. Because I don't want my email address (which would have to be part of
the URL in a real link) becoming obviously visible.
2. Because I'm limited for space and even a styled button takes too much
room.

Hi
I'm new to the forum and also a VERY new user of Access to develop databases. I'm building a DB for a driving instructor acquaintance, and he wants a button on the pupil data entry form which he can click to flag a pupil as "Do Not Rebook" (i.e. if they're a non-payer or something). Upon clicking the button, he wants a value to be recorded in the appropriate field in the table (so we can report on it later) and he also wants the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
