I'm new to HTML and want to learn the basics by learning to code by hand
(with the assistance of an HTML editor to eliminate repetitive tasks).
Can anyone recommend a good, basic HTML editor that's a step beyond

In my opinion an absolute YES !
Take a look at what we are doing ! we create TAGS, things like <H1> etc.
and although there are tools (dreamweaver and the like), they are all at the
lowest level of programming (something like assembly as oposed to C++ etc.).
These tools create "brain-dead" developers that constantly have to plough
through tons of tags to do the simplest thing.

How can I completely turn off the auto formatting of Html
in Visual Studio 7? I have tried all possible
combinations (at least I think I have) of the Tools /
Options / Text Editor / HTML XML / Formatting. This is a
big annoyance because with a rather large page it can be

This IDE is driving me nuts. I needed another button so I copied an
existing one, changed the Text and the id and position by drag and drop.
Well then I run and get the following:
Control 'Button19' of type 'Button' must be placed inside a form tag with
runat=server

Hey,
I have a need to get HTML from a client back to a server to do server
processing. I would like the HTML and form data both. Is there a simple way
to capture that? I do not want to submit the page...I will use ajax to send
the data.
I know how to get the elements but not the entire page or form. I am really
just interested in specifying document.form2 and sending that.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
