Hi out there,
our Webserver stops working with 'HTTP Error 500-13 -
Server too busy'.
The Server has at this time over 3000 connections, but
the Server isn't busy at all.
(The IIS runs with W2K and SP3).
Has anybody an idea?

Hi
How do I log active concurrent database connections to a database and server
instance ?
Question relates to both Windows and Unix server.
Assume latest version of DB2
I want to avoid installing an extensive amounts of tools, just using default
setup tools
If you're familiar to Oracle I would the same kind of answer for it.

Access 2K, DAO, split front end and back end; back end on server.
Regarding max of 255 concurrent users. Is it really users, or
connections? How would a user have more than one connection to same
back end? If I keep a bound form open (hidden) to maintain a
persistent connection, in what circumstances would another connection
be created? How do I count the number of connections to a back end?
Inquiring minds want to know, will be very...

Hello, I am using ASP.NET as a streaming engine for mp3 and ogg files over HTTP. Basically, the asp.net page sets it's mime content type to audio/mp3 and i write out the file to the stream. We will be having anywhere from 50 to 300 users streaming at once (as well as standard asp.net web pages served). We will be using IIS6, and was wondering if we needed to increase the number of worker threads in machine.config to handle this, or if it is...

When I run my VB.NET application, it loads a large amount of data upon
startup. When I checked Task Manager, it showed that roughly 25% +/- of the
processor was being used. When I run the same program on an XP desktop,
processor usage goes to 100% until all of the data is loaded. I checked the
WSRM (Windows System Resource Manager) and the program is not being limited
in it's processor or memory usage. Can anyone tell me why this occurs?...

hi,
i can't make more than two concurrent requests to a php script - i mean
when i make say 20 simultaneous requests then two first execute but 18 remaining
are waiting for them, then the next two scripts are handled and so on.
why only two? how to change that?
it's not session locking for sure - i use session_write_close,
and actually i stripped down my script so that now has just some
slow-down loop.
it's php 4.2 and apache 2, linux...

Sorry for the cross post but I was hoping between developers and systems ppl
I can get answer to this question. I've searched; found issues similar to
mine but the solutions are not working.
My situation:
I have an ASP.net web app running on Server 2003 (Server 1) that calls a
service on a different Server 2003 (Server 2) via HTTP.
Problem:

I have a need to have three plus frames with concurrent connections to a web server, and all of them able to communicate with the parent page.
To overcome the 2 concurrent connections limit I used CNAMEs for each of the frames, but now parent.function() doesnt work because the browser considers the CNAMEs to be different sites and gives a permissions error.
Is this a Catch22? Is there a cross public browser way around it?
TIA
Zom.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
