DB2 concurrent connection

Hi

How do I log active concurrent database connections to a database and server
instance ?
Question relates to both Windows and Unix server.
Assume latest version of DB2
I want to avoid installing an extensive amounts of tools, just using default
setup tools

If you're familiar to Oracle I would the same kind of answer for it.

Thank you,

Not sure what exactly you're looking for. If you want to log which
user connects at what time to which database take a look at DB2's Audit
Feature. If you want to see who is actually connected to a particular
database in an instance use DB2's LIST APPLICATIONS command.
For both see the the online doc for further information:

I'm setting up some web-based (ASP) reports that query an Access DB. I also want certain people to be able to access and manipulate the database directly. However, if the database is open in Access, I cant access it via ASP: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005' Could not use ''; file already in use.

Access 2K, DAO, split front end and back end; back end on server. Regarding max of 255 concurrent users. Is it really users, or connections? How would a user have more than one connection to same back end? If I keep a bound form open (hidden) to maintain a persistent connection, in what circumstances would another connection be created? How do I count the number of connections to a back end? Inquiring minds want to know, will be very...

Hey Ppl, I'm developing an Online Auction Site using ASP.net and am experiencing a problem with Transactions in ADO.Net. When beginTrasaction() function is invoked from a specific connection, and insertions are made into a table, no other connection can access the table, until the transaction is committed. I've set the Isoloation level to ReadUncommited.

Hi All, I have a lexical analyzer in flex/bison associated with a lot of custom C function calls linking to external programs which uses quite a lot of global variables and data structures. The program is quite complex and does a lot of Natural Language Processing. The program needs to initialize a few databases from files every time it launches and needs to load them in the memory. I am currently thinking of a design where I could...

I have what I imagine is a well-known .Net networking problem, but even though I've Googled for some time I've not yet come across a thread where this has been fully explained... There is a fairly common idiom (at least in the Java/UNIX/Win32 worlds) where a socket connection is established and the program then utilises two threads: one dedicated to reading from the socket and the other one concurrently writing to the socket - both using...

Hi, I am trying to make our business logic layer components more efficient. We use strongly typed datasets and TableAdapters. Is it a good idea to use a static TableAdpater to share the static instance among all sessions? My business logic components are like this:

Hi, Is it possible to open concurrent connections using Net::IMAP::Simple library ? My IMAP server allows 4 connections per ip, so I am having following problems while using Net::IMAP::Simple and Net::IMAP::Simple::SSL libraries: 1) The method new returns a valid connection even on 5th try, though the login fails as it looks like IMAP->login somehow knows that 5th object is not valid..Is it possible ? 2) Somtime, the script fails at the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
