Hi all,
I am trying to view an image from the database in the gridview control.
I set up my SQLDatasource, and when testing the query i can see the images in the preview table,
then i add a gridview control, add a new column, and select Image Field, and then my DataField, which is of type "Image".
The problem is the only option i have is to select the "URL format string" and the "Image Data" option is not there, so the image does not display.
_why_?

Alright,
I have narrowed down the problem and it is that my <Imagefield> tag does not contain the 'Datafield' property.
But i am still at a loss as to why. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks in advance
Timmy

Hi all,
I made a question several days before to describe my strange trouble of
mysqldump. But I still can't figour it out. Well, I just want to ask
another question whether I could just backup my databases by copying
the data folder to some place? Then if I meet some disaster, could I
just copy the backup folder back to recover my databases?
Thank you.

Is there a way to load an image locally (in the client) when a
selection of a file is made using input type=file.
The purpose is to allow selection of a file and put the image in the
browser without loading the reloading the page.
I thought about
1. putting a function call in the onchange event of the html input

I am using Access 2002 and have two tables (Main and Actions) linked
(in Relationships) on one field "CAL_ID" (primary key in Main Table).
Main Table is a list of equipment. Actions Table lists actions
performed on these pieces of equipment (calibration, cleaning, etc.) so
there are many records per every one record in the Main Table.
I have a form based on Main Table, containing a subform for Actions
Table. This is used for data...

Hi:
I'm using the HTML File Field control as a file picker for uploading files
to a SQl Server image field. When page posts back to initiate upload, if
file is small (under about two megs) all is well. However, when I select a
large file, the default IIS "Cannot find server" page is immediately
returned. Weird???
Thanks,

Question: Why can't you access a private inherited field from a base
class in a derived class? I have a *theory* of how this works, of
which, I'm not completely sure of but makes logical sense to me. So,
I'm here for an answer (more of a confirmation), hopefully.
First let me say that I know people keep saying; it doesn't work
because the member "is a private". I believe there's more to it than
just simply that...
Theory: You inherit,...

I am hoping for a code example of how to do this, and hopefully it will
help me to see an easy way to code what seems to be a huge monster.
I need to create a form that has two pulldown menues (field names
Option1 and Option2). Each will house a list of the 50 U.S. States.
Users would then be able to choose two states, and get a listing for a
courier used for pickup\deliveries (exp: My order is in Ohio, but I
need it delivered to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
