pointer "this" in url ?

Morning,

This is my problem, I try to pass in url parameter yop.php the PID value,
computed in "select", but when I execute this script, I obtain "this.PID" in
all letters in URL instead of the number.
I research but I don't find,
Could you please help me?
Thanks,

This is an exemple of my source code:

<form action="javascr ipt:var
win=window.open ('http://www.yop.php?PID =this.PID&QT=1& M=70','popup',
'width=500, height=500, menubar=no, directories=no, scrollbars=yes,
status=no, resizable=no, location=no')">
<select name="PID" class="port_for m_menu">
<option value="1">1</option>
<option value="2">3</option>
<option value="3">7</option>
</select>
<input name="submit" type="image"
src="common_fun ction/img_common/ticketsurf.gif" >
</form>

I have read the years-old threads on this topic, but I wanted to confirm what they suggest. . . Can the this pointer EVER point to a type different from the class that contains the member function that the this pointer is being used in? That is, is the type of the this pointer always determined entirely syntactically (and never dynamically)? Example: if a member function is invoked on an object of class Apple (appleobj.drip_it() ),...

Question: Why can't you access a private inherited field from a base class in a derived class? I have a *theory* of how this works, of which, I'm not completely sure of but makes logical sense to me. So, I'm here for an answer (more of a confirmation), hopefully. First let me say that I know people keep saying; it doesn't work because the member "is a private". I believe there's more to it than just simply that... Theory: You inherit,...

How can I manually (other then http://www.boost.org/libs/smart_ptr/enable_shared_from_this.html) create a shared, and a weak pointer to "this"? Of course I dont want the shared / weak pointer to cause object to be deleted when shared/weak ptr will go out of scope. -- Wymiana starych układów... na nowe układy - prawie jak walka z korupcja. Hi all. I'm writting a logger class to write all the debug/info/warning/error messages in a file. Every time a class needs to send any message, should send a code (int) and a message (string). I would like to write also in the file, the class that has sent the message. all the clases that need to send a message, derives from a base clas: class I_want_To_Send : public I_will_write_In_Logger

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
