I am very new to JavaScript, and have been using Notepad.
Is there a editor out there that showes the JavaScript environment
variables?
Example: I just found out about the document.forms array on the web the
other day. Ideally, it would show this and other handy things.

Greetings,
I'm creating a program that I don't intend to profit from so I don't want to
know about any pricy controls (such as essential edit $499 ouch).
I am looking for a syntax highlighting .NET winform component. Hopefully it
will have line numbering and the ability to specify my own numbering or
place whatever text I want in where the line number otherwise would be or in
some sort of margin next to the numbers but not editable by...

Hi!
I wonder which editor or IDE you can recommend me for writing Python
programs. I tried with jEdit but it isn't perfect.

Ok, I know it's been asked a million times, but I have a more specific
question so hopefully this won't be just the same old post. I've tried a
few different editors, and I really like UltraEdit, but it's
Windows-only and I'm working more on Linux nowadays.
Here are my criteria:
1. syntax highlighting (highly customizable)
2. auto/smart indenting
3. ability to run script

Wondering if anyone knew how to have the ability to have syntax highlighting and Intellisense dropdowns for classic ASP 3.0 pages from within Visual Studio 2005. The catch is, we are not allowed to install IIS locally on our development workstations where I am contracting - therefore, asp.dll and related components are not installed to be referenced.
Is there any way to install these components successfully or at least register them without...

want to use MS visual studio)? you know, something that has syntax
highlighting, and preferably something like intellisense (to complete your
code)? i've decided to switch from compiling in Visual studio to gcc and now
i need to find a good editor...

Years ago I looked for a text editor control that would do automatic keyword
highlighting, to no avail. I found sample code to roll my own, but all of
that was crap (mostly because of the way the RichTextBox base class was
written, and the limitations of GDI+). I ended up coming to conclusion that
I'd have to write my own in C++ to make it work right, at which point I gave
up. Now it seems there are controls out there that may do the trick...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
