Server 2003 R2 MMC snap-in error

When I right click on My Computer, manage, I get a pop-up with the title "SQL
Server Configuration Manager" In the pop up appears the following message:
"MMC has detected an error in a snap-in. It is recommended that you shut down
and testart MMC"

What should I do to avoid and solve this problem.
(Server 2003 R2 with SQL Server 2005 with or without SP1)
thanks

I am having a similar problem. We just purchased the SBS2003 R2 Server. I
performed a clean install everything ran fine. (POP3 snap-in issue that
caused the same problem had an available patch on Windows Update Services).

After installing SQL 2005 Workgroup and providing the instances to
Sharepoint as well (per MS installation docs)... When I click on the "Service
and Applications" tab (under computer management) in MMC I get the following
snap-in error:

"SQL Server Configuration Manager"
MMC has detected an error in a snap-in. It is recommended that you shut down
and restart MMC.

I performed a clean install of SBS again... and avoided the SQL 2005
Workgroup Premium upgrade. However, After installing Backup Exec I am
getting this same error again..

I am developing an application for a client that will have data in a MS SQL Server database. Costs have to be kept down so I have to develop using the free version of any and all tools I may need. I have the SQL Server installed, running on Windows XP. I was going to develop the GUI using wxPython. My only obstacle so far is having Python (wxPython or just plain Python) connect to the database. Is there a way to use Python (installed...

I was browsing Microsoft's SQL Server site, looking for some details about SQL Server 2005. Didn't find what I was looking for... I'm thinking about moving an existing SQL Server 2000 workload to a new box, using SQL Server 2005, and maybe the 64-bit version. My questions are:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
