Is there a way to force the user to read a textarea?
Just like those 'agreements' that is used in a few offline
instalation..
You have to scroll all the way down of the textarea and then the I
AGREE button is enabled... is there a way to do that with JS?
Tks a lot =]

Hi,
If i have a abstract class (e.g. Class1) and then i make Class2 which
inherits from Class1. I have a method in Class1 which i want to force
Class2 to run at some point. Is there a way i can force this? I dont want
to run the method in the constructor of Class1 as the Constructor needs to
do some work in Class2 before the method will work correctly.
thanks

First, I thank you Herfried.
I have 3 tabpages in a tabcontrol.
I would like to force the user to stay in the current tabpage until he
doesn't correctly fill some textboxes.
I know how to prevent bad entries but if I click onto another tabpage, I can
leave the current tabpage.
I try to use the select property but it doesn't work.
Any idea ?

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to force a derived class to serialise/serialize
as its base class. I was hoping that this was possible by just
applying an attribute to the the sub class.
public class BaseClass

Hi
I have been looking for a few hours and couldn't find much in these
groups, so I thought I would post it here in case anybody else is
trying to figure it out.
I have an ascx User control with an attribute called 'Value'. I want
to set this at run time from a class with App_Code. I pass the control
to the class as a generic Control (called myData.FormControl here). I
am setting the 'Value' attribute to the string held in

I have a form which includes a list box populated with items from a
query. When a user double clicks on a row in the list box, each
column item is put into a specific text box.
The problem right now is that a row is already selected, and the items
put into the text boxes, for all records that have been entered using
the form. I don't want any row selected when I create a new record.
The other problem right now is that if I select a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
