How to add windows domain users to a local group ?

1 New Member
Hi, i'm trying to add domain user to a local Windows group.

Imagine I have domain 'myDomain', domain user 'myDomain\domai nUser', my computer is 'myComputer', local group is 'Guests'.

I used many approaches but neither worked. The latest code I have used is following:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. DirectoryEntry domainUser = new DirectoryEntry("LDAP://myDomain/CN=domainUser,CN=Users,DC=myDomain,DC=local");
  2. DirectoryEntry computer = new DirectoryEntry("WinNT://myComputer,computer");
  3. DirectoryEntry guests = computer.Children.Find("Guests", "group");
  4. if (guests != null)
    guests.Invoke("Add",new object[] { domainUser.Path.ToString() });
This code throws exception with message "Invalid path"..

Any ideas how to do it ?

I'm trying to debug a C++ application on the local machine (not ASP.NET) which happens to be a domain controller. Administrators can debug, but domain users cannot. I have looked at the debugger Word doc that is oftern referenced on the net. All users on the machine are in the "Debugger Users Group" and the effective policies reflect this. Debugging is fine on computers other than the domain controller with these settings, however the...

I've searched, I've read, I've tested and re-read numerous post but to no avail yet... Quite simply, the settings I've applied to my httpd.conf, httpd-vhost.conf and my hosts files simply does not work. Please review my work and let me know if you see that one little thing that is throwing me for a loop. HTTPD.CONF # # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
