My colleagues and I have not been able to successfully set up SQL debugging on a SQL 2000 instance running on Windows 2000.
Is there a checklist posted somewhere? We have verified that the SQL Server is not running with System Account Credentials. It runs as a Domain Administrator. We have also verified that everyone has permission to run sp_sdidebug. Does it matter that the Win2K machine is a Domain Controller? Any help would be...

I am trying to install DB2 Universal Database Enterprise Server Edition
Version 8.1 (for Windows operating systems on 32-bit systems) on Windows
2000 Advanced Server that can be either standalone or part of a network. I
am trying to avoid installing Active Directory and setting up the server as
a domain controller.
1) Must DB2 UDB Enterprise be installed on a domain controller or can it be
installed on W2K Advanced Server set up as a...

I have a project built for ASP.NET that recently started running really slow
in debug mode (it takes about 10 seconds or more to step from one line of
code to the next).
This just started recently and only impacts one ASP.NET project. I have
some other ASP.NET projects that I can step thru with the debugger with
almost instant response. I also have some Windows Forms projects that work
normally.
I am running Visual Studio 2003 and...

I have a small network setup in my home where I have my workstation which is
WindowsXP Home Edition and a server running Windows 2000 Server configured
as a domain controller. The domain controller has Visual Studio.NET
installed on it and IIS is configured. This machine is also hosting my SQL
Server 2000. Everything except debugging seems to be working. I can connect
to the machine from my remote workstation and develop as well as develop...

Hi everybody,
My problem seems a bit clichè but I could not work around.
Well I read lots of MSDN papers and discussions, but my problem is a bit
different from them. When I tried to run the project in debug mode (by
hitting F5) it gives an error message
"Error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging on the web
server.

I am trying to setup ASPNET account for .NET application to access database

aspnet_regiis -i in the directory C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322
After running it, I got a successful installed information. But I can not

I have a test network consisting of four servers running windows 2003 server R2 SP2. I have set up a domain which functioned correctly for about a day and a half until the other servers decided they can no longer connect to the domain controller. Ping resolves the domain controllers name to the correct ip nslookup finds the ip but can not resolve the name.
When I attempt to log on to a machine on the domain it takes around twenty minutes...

Bit of an odd one, but heres the deal.
I had a Windows NT domain controller and a Member Server , my development
machine was in the same domain , but I lost the domain controller.
I since installed SQL Server 2005 on the member server and it works OK.
However, when I try and "Step Into" the stored procedure from Visual Studio,
it tells me "Unable to start T-SQL Debugging. Could not connect to computer
'sqlserver; The system detected a...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
