I need to do detect the IPXI move player plugin in IE. I know you have
to look for the Active X object, Netscape you just loop through and it will

Are there any plans by Microsoft or anyone else to ever create a browser
plugin that can run .NET apps? One that can work in any browser like
the Flash or Acrobat plugins?
I know about smart clients and clickonce (below), I was just curious.
This is almost a showstopper for developing educational software if
there will never be any way to run it in the browser. I thought since

i have used the IObjectWithSiteImpl interface for that.
the problem is that after doing all this using the VC++ ATL wizard and setting up all the required methods, putting the CLSID entry under the Browser Helper Object and compiling and building, when i activate the browser window, nothing seems to happen. I really have a problem here. I have a code that is suppost to take the href of a link from the right class;value of a link maked toreturn false. the value is a Media file the file is sent to quicktime or windows meida player depending on which plugin was found. after the plug in is found a iframe with the right player is created.
