What is the best way to have my setup file be a single file that the user
simply double-clicks on to install? Do I need to just make a "Setup for
Windows Application" and then put all of the setup files into a
self-extracting EXE zip file? Or is there a better way to do it?
I am wanting the program to be easily installable from the web by way of a
single file download. I do not want the user to be forced to have WinZip on
his/her...

Hi,
When I have created an setup project for my program, it generates a setup
file and a MSI file.
Since the users of my program all have winXP, I only distribute the MSI
file.
What I want is that the user only have to doubleclick on the msi file to
install the program.
This is no problem the first time, but a second, after some changes, the

I had v1.0, v1.1 and v2.0 of .NET framework installed on my laptop and
that was causing me a lot of grief. So I uninstalled v2.0 and pressed
on with developing stuff in v1.0. Everything was great. I wrote a whole
application. After completion I added a setup project. The setup
project builds fine. But when I try to install the application, it
gives me an error saying "This setup requires .NET framework." (Please
install it). I checked the...

Dear All
I am building a web based application which is using report services. As
this need to be sold to clients, I have created a setup file to make life
easier when installing the application. However I am having problem in
deploying the reports to the server as all tutorials and posts read do it
from the report builder or visual studio deploy option.
Is there a way to deploy the reports with a setup file to a report server?

I have written a C# program and then make the setup project.
I specify the prerequisite (.NET Framework 3.5) to be downloaded as the same
location as my location. However, I find that my project built has almost
200MB because the folder DotNetFX35 occupies 194MB already.
How can I make it smaller?
I don't want the user download .NET Framework 3.5 on Microsoft's website.
Thanks for any idea in advance.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
