VS2003 DVD Enterprise Edition media and Crystal Reports

Bob
I've managed to avoid CR for a few years, but now there is no escape.

So, I inserted the VS2003 Enterprise Edition DVD in my PC and selected
Add/Remove features. I then checked Crystal Reports and clicked Update Now.

The install procedure chugged along for a while and prompted me for the
"VS2003 EE CD [English]". This is, of course, the DVD that's in the drive. I
vaguely remember some issues along this line with other products, but I've
forgotten the solution. How can I add CR support to my VS2003 installation
from the DVD?

I have been fighting through my first crystal report in VS2003.NET and have made some headway. Here is what I've done: 1. Created a crystal report in VS2003 from a SQL stored procedure with parameters through the GUI. 2. Finally got past the logon failure error to display the report using the viewer. I assume that default parameters are being used since it does display some data and the SP won't run without being passed some values.

My customer has many CR created using other CR versions than the one in VS2003. I have been trying to do it, but keep getting errors. It seems I can't override the report settings like reportsource, and others. Is there a way to integrate those reports in a ASP.NET application without recreating them? Thank you,

We need to decide on the architecture for the reporting system using .net 2.0 (C#) There are 2 options for the arechitecture. The first one involves using crystal enterprise server that would host all the reports, and render it to the webserver upon requests. This uses the crystal enterprise object class model (reportInfo objects) The second option involves using the web server to host and render

I was just wondering if anyone knows if vs2005 standard edition will work for this. I would like to build some windows applications that will have Crystal reports as an output and interface with SQL express. I need low cost software as am on a budget and noticed that vs2005 standard edition is only $226.00. Also I would need to build an MSI (install file) with this that would include the SQL express database (I think it is free), the...

I have a vb.net web project that was created in vs2003 and uses crystal reports. I no longer have vs2003 but now have vs2005. I was able to use the wizard and the project builds but when I view the controls I get the error, could this be a permissions issue, /LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT/Projectname is not a valid IIS application. Any ideas, thanks. -- Paul G Software engineer.

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
