.net Pro and .net Enterprise Developer Version 2003

Hello All, two quick questions

ok what is the major difference between .net Pro and .net Enterprise
Developer Version 2003 (other than cost)?
And
I am looking to upgrade from MSVS v6.0 Pro to a .net version, but I need
crystal reports and Visual SourceSafe, is Enterprise Developer Version 2003
the one I want?

Thanks in advance

Jason,
Check out the following MS web page that compares the features of each version.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ho.../choosing.aspx

From the above chart, it looks like Crystal Reports is included in all three
versions. However, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 6.0d is only included
in the Enterprise additions.

Hence, you could either buy one of the Enterprise additions, or just buy the
Pro version plus purchase a copy of Visual SourceSafe 6.0d separately.

Hi, I'm lost right now... I used 'Visual Studio 2005 Beta Home' to make a small application. But since the computer i want to use it on has .Net 2003 installed I get a version error. This probably has to do with the framework version wich is 1.1 with 2003 en 2.something with 2005. So I can use a computer wich has Visual Studio . Net 2003 Enterprise edition on it. but now if I try to build a application with even the most simple commands

Hi all, Hope you all can answer this question easily. I am going to purchase the .NET 2003 Enterprise Developer edition. As per MS shop, this is about US$ 1,799.00. What I want to know is whether the price is for one user(developer) or not? In other way, if 10 developers are going to use this, do I need to buy 10 items (10*1,7999)?

HI, all... My company is about to move from VS.net 2002 to VS.net 2003. Currently we have VS.net 2002 Enterprise Developer. After looking at the Microsoft's Feature Chart (http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/howtobuy/choosing.aspx) we found that we could downgrade from EntprDev to Pro without loosing anything that's useful to us. Testing Pro version showed no significant differences for our projects. So, basically I am looking for...

I have a problem deploying a ASP.Net app on a 2003 Enterprise server. After installing the application I get 404's when I try to access the aspx pages on the server (not other pages like html or stylesheets). I installed IIS after the .Net runtime and ran aspnet_regiis afterwards. I checked, that the .aspx extension is mapped to the aspnet_isapi.dll for all verbs. Still no luck. An example W3C log entry is:

I am having some problems in the process of moving an Access back-end to an SQL Server back-end. Everything works but there are severe problems of response times when the number of users builds up. At present we are using the Developer version before committing to the Enterprise version. BOL (quoted below) seems to suggest that, apart from licensing, they are the same. Can anyone please confirm that this is so. If not, what is the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
