The Express editions do not include Crystal Reports.
If you have a full Crystal Reports product available, you should be able to
use it with VB Express projects. For more detail, try here:

Hello, I have some problems deploying Crystal Reports. I'm using Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1. In this version Crystal Reports (9.7.3500.0) is included. I created a small test application (ASP.NET) that shows a simple report. It work fine with on my local computer. Now I'm trying to deploy this sample application on our web server but I really need some help.

Hello, I have just installed VB Express and was toying with upgrading a project from VB 2003. Reports designed in Crystal seem to port fine enough, however, I am unable to open the reports for editing. I searched the docs for registering the custom tool so that I may continue editing, to no avail. I realize that the express edition is not as full featured as the other versions, part of my plan to sell the purchase was to demonstrate an...

I am using Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and Crystal Reports 8.5 I can see various Crystal Reports references in the "com" list which makes me think this should be possible. I have a number of projects I was able to port from VS 2003 to VB Express 2005 minus the Crystal Reports that was in my solution. I was wondering if I have to purchase anything additional for my existing Crystal Reports to compile in VB Express or if there is any *free* crystal resources for VB Express? Thanks in advance.

Just found out that there is an Express Products edition for VS 2005, and it is free for downloading from Microsoft web site. Is this just an evaluation version? Or a real VS.net 2005 for small projects? If we just want to develop ASP.net web pages using VB.net, will these Express Products good enough for our needs? Any limitations? TIA, Jeffrey

Hi everybody! I'm using the full version of Crystal Reports XI (Version 11.0.0.1282) and Visual C# 2005 Express Edition. I want to create a report which should later be populated with data from a DataSet. Since my version of CR isn't integrated in the Express Edition of VS I'm unable to create a report without connecting it to an existing data source - in my case a SQL Server 2000 database. And that's where my problem starts: no...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
