Hello,
I have created simple login sistem. I'm using sessions and they expire
after I close my browser. How can I stay loged after I have closed my
browser window? I know I should use cookies, but I'm interested in some

Hi all,
I'm currently relying on logged-in users hitting "logout"
(logoff) before they leave, in order to terminate the session.
With PHP the session filename is in a cookie that lasts for the
current session. The problem is that the server does not know
when the current session expires. (I have quite long timeouts.)
Did anybody attempt a script to automatically call "logout"
when the session expires? It seems quite complicate, as...

I'd like so that when a user moves there mouse over an image (or clicks the
image, either way it doesn't matter), I'd like some text to appear.
I was going to use the img tag with the alt parameter but the text is a few
sentences long and the yellowish box doesn't stay up long enough to read the
whole thing? Is there a way to keep the yellowish box there until the use
moves his mouse away, or to keep the box there for maybe 10 seconds or...

I am creating a web application, which I will be selling licenses to
be able to use it. So Customer Group A, could purchase 3 licenses,
Customer Group B could purchase 30.
With the web app I am using asp.net/vb.net
This means Customer Group A, could only have 3 concurrent users logged
in, and for Customer Group B only 30 at one time.

I'm using Windows Integrated Authentication, so I know who the user is, and
I obviously know the Workstation name they are on.

i'm using forms authentication. i would like for a user to be logged in until
they close the browser. The FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage method
takes the parameter createPersistentCookie. For some reason i thought this
meant it either wrote a cookie that lasted for 50 years or a cookie that
existed until the browser closed. Apparently i guessed wrong

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
