The following should work:

Function ExportAccessToT ext() As Boolean

Dim AccessConn As New System.Data.Ole Db.OleDbConnect ion("Provider=M icrosoft.Jet.OL EDB.4.0;"
& _
"Data Source=e:\My Documents\db1.m db")

AccessConn.Open ()

'New table
Dim AccessCommand As New System.Data.Ole Db.OleDbCommand ("SELECT * INTO
[Text;HDR=No;DAT ABASE=e:\My Documents\TextF iles].[td.txt] FROM Table_3", AccessConn)

AccessCommand.E xecuteNonQuery( )
AccessConn.Clos e()

End Function

You will need a schema.ini file if a custom delimiter (tab) is required. The contents will look like
the following:

[td.txt]
ColNameHeader=F alse
Format=TabDelim ited
CharacterSet=AN SI

In Access 2000 and 2002, I have created an import specification to import the fixed-width recordset below into an existing table. I am having strange problems with the import of the date and time fields. 177 102003 16:43:12 102003 18:43:12 6OAG0ADP Y 0000 0000 0000 0000 61930 4HGA800 165 102003 17:43:12 102003 18:44:12 6OAG0ADP Y 0000 0000 0000 0000 61930 4HGA800 177 102003 16:41:18 102003 18:45:12 6OAG0ADP Y 0000 0000 0000 0000 61930...

I'm using PHPMyAdmin on an Apache2Triad install (latest version; 5.x.x, which installs PHP5 and PHPMyAdmin 2.8 as well). In Access, I exported a table to a text file, tab-delimited, text qualifyer of "none" (this is how I read to do it from newsgroups). When I use the Query window in phpmyadmin to import the text file, it waits a while, then returns an error: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that...

Hi guys! Do you know what is the best way to export a text file, this one is a log file that is already comma delimited thru a module run by my access database, to an excel spreadsheet? I need to do this thru the module, and I don't see how I can export a txt file from access without loading it to a temp table first. I've checked out the DoCmd.TransferText methods, where you have to have a table or query or schema ini first, and the...

Hi, We will be conducting surveys through SurveyMonkey online and will be importing the answers by tab delimited or comma delimited file into access. I was wondering if there is specific way to import delimited files into Access or Is there a specific way I should design the survey online so Access can recognize the file? Here is my table structure to give you an idea on where I'm coming from. Thank you so much in advance!!! ...

Hi, I have the following task to be done in VC++ 6.0. I have a tab delimited text file that needs to be imported into a MS Access table. The table is created and the table structure is defined using DAO methods. So now I have to fill this table with the data in the text files. For a few rows in the text file, the number of columns could be less than the number of columns in the table. Can anyone please post me the code to do this. Thanks...

the file I'm importing has > 200,000 records I have one problem: One of the columns in the .txt file (customerID) has almost all Inetger values except for about 30 records. Those 30 records have one letter in the customerID field (M123456). The field they are going into is VARCHAR(1000) . All of the integers go in correctly but for some reason the cutomerID values that stert with a letter (M123456) are NULL. Any help? I'm stumped. ...

When I use the File -Export function in Access, all it seems to do is duplicate the file. It doesn't seem to offer conversion to delimited text files. Can someone tell me how to do that kind of an export? Or does Access call it something else? Thanks, Scott

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
