There are very few posts on this NG, and very little MS MVP support. Is
there a better NG on the Microsoft news server to post questions about
programming with Managed C++ ? I know I can't be the only C++ programmer
doing .NET development in that language. If I look at the C# NG, it has at
least ten times the traffic and response as this one does. Thta leads me to
believe that there is another NG to handle C++ .NET development questions. 3 1099

Alot of your questions, like event return values and event method
accessibility could be posed to the general(or even the C#, but prefereably
the general) groups, as they affect all languages. The C# group has alot of
traffic, but ALOT of that is stuff that should be on the general or other
groups.
Unfortunatly, the other vc groups don't appear to cover .NET much.

Maybe there should be a microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.general NG for
general .NET language questions. The microsoft.publi c.dotnet.genera l gets a
great deal of irrelevant posts about everything under the sun related to
..NET.

I think this NG could be split into a microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.vc
and microsoft.publi c.dotnet.langua ges.mcplusplus NGs. Then all MC++ language
questions could go to the latter NG, and all non-MC++ related language
questions go to the former NG.

Perhaps, perhaps. I think that many questions posted are more appropriate
for the general, as most things aren't language specific. However, I browse
most of the groups(notable ecxeption being the vb ones), and hopefully
others will atleast pay some attention here. The C# group has alot of traffic, but ALOT of that is stuff that should be on the general or other groups.

I would say that microsoft.publi c.vc.language is appropriate for non-MC++(it
has nearly no MC++ posts). the dotnet implies, to me anyway, that this group
should primarily be managed. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

Am I doing something dumb? Ween searching for posts in this system I enter words from my posts - that I know are in there - and the search keeps coming back with nothing found. I entered the original; I KNOW it is there
Further, I search, as a test, for posts I'm looking at on the screen and using words from their subject line, and it tells me "nothing found!
Is there a way to find posts from an author without starting with a post from...

Hi!
Im trying to pull out the last ten posts in a access dg (*.mdb). Whats the best way to do it?
All posts are located in a table named "tblTopic" and the posts automatically get accending numbers. The first vertical row (?) with the numbers are named "Topic_ID".
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I'm tired of reading the fine print! Too many registrars out there.
So I'm asking this group for a little help.
I'm looking for a Registrar who will do an honest day's work for
a fair price. I'm tired of Registrars who build in "gotchas" into
their service offering that nab you for something more than you
bargain for - including the right to screw you later in their fine
print. I want a registrar who won't charge you to leave them....

Hi,
I have a listbox (in a user control) which has items add/removed via
javascript (i.e. an "add item" link which uses a popup selection screen to
add items and a "remove item" link which deletes any selected row(s)).
There is a strange problem that when I inspect the list of items during a
postback the list appears to be empty (even though I added items). I noticed
that when I multiselect one or more items, only those selected items...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
