I'm now using VB.NET to write a POS which it need to drive the epson
thermal printer. I have no problem to use the printer by using
"PrintDocument" onject provided by Vb.NET. But I think the speed for
print is too slow, anyone know how I can speed it up??
P.S. I know if I directly output some print command to the com port,
the speed will become much more faster. But because I need to use
network to share the printer ( for example 3 work...

Hi
I'm developing a POS software using an Epson TM-T88iii printer with a
cash drawer connected to the printer. The printer is connected via a usb
interface to the pc.
Can anyone tell me how I can open the cash drawer from my VB.NET
application? The printer driver requires me to use a soft font named
"control" in the printer, and print the letter "A", but if I'm right,
the .NET framework does not support using soft fonts...

I am not sure if I am in the right group.
My problem is this:
My VB.NET application prints to the Epson printer using Epson OPOS
drivers. I have downloaded the Epson ADK for .NET from the EpsonExpert
site (www.epsonexpert.com) I have also downloaded the Epson Advanced
Printer Driver from the Epson site.
I have installed Microsot POS for .NET on a windows 2000 machine. The
installation completes but it throws an error "Error 5008....

Okay I have been searching the web for a couple of days now and can not seem
to find a solution.
I have a USB Epson TM-T88III receipt printer with a Cash Drawer connected to
it and I can not programmatically kick the drawer out...
Now I can kick it out after printing as that is in the setup in the
Properties of the printer.
Has anyone been able to kick the drawer out with the ASC codes?

I am using EPSON OPOS ADK Version2.50E SP6 UPOS 1.9, downloaded from www.epsonexpert.com ,
I am just running their sample programmes provided with their ADK. the issues are:
1: Should I get the actual physical printer to confirm that sample applications in VB are running correctly?
2: I have created the new device in POSPrinter as TM-T88III. (I dont have the actual physical printer at hand). Now when I ran the application. The program...

Is there someone outthere who used SetupPOS Ver 2.00 from Epson Expert ?
because I am facing initial hitches in using ...trivial errors with error explanations that i already have read...but cannot figure out things that i am missing bigtime.
The manual straightly put the steps but I think they have missed something or otherwise I !!
i can continue on and on unless someone shows up here who really have used the epson ADK setup utility...

I have been looking for a driver for an old Epson ActionLaser 1500 that would work with Vista. The driver came with XP.
I spoke to an "old PC guy" who told me to try the HP LaserJet III driver in Vista.
It seems to work. The Printer Test page came out fine.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
