Vista driver for an Epson ActionLaser 1500 printer

4 New Member
I have been looking for a driver for an old Epson ActionLaser 1500 that would work with Vista. The driver came with XP.

I spoke to an "old PC guy" who told me to try the HP LaserJet III driver in Vista.

It seems to work. The Printer Test page came out fine.

lloos that's great, you may also try the windows xp driver. I had a similar issue with my wireless card a dlink dwl 520+ and the windows xp driver worked fine, you just have to manually point to it.

Cyber.

yeah, also to install drivers in vista, there is this great MS tool called DPInst

dload and instlal the following framework
http://www.microsoft.c om/whdc/driver/install/difxtools.mspx# EQB

its pretty big, but you only need a 500 kb file called DPInst.exe

after installation, drag this file from installtion folder to the folder of your posisble driver and double click....does everything for you including creating an add/remove entry in cpl

I'm now using VB.NET to write a POS which it need to drive the epson thermal printer. I have no problem to use the printer by using "PrintDocument" onject provided by Vb.NET. But I think the speed for print is too slow, anyone know how I can speed it up?? P.S. I know if I directly output some print command to the com port, the speed will become much more faster. But because I need to use network to share the printer ( for example 3 work...

Dear friends, I have a new task to do that I know nothing about. I am to design a printer driver (I think). The requirements of the project are: 1. design a printer driver - the printer driver should be able to pass jobs to the software installed in the workstation that is connected to the printer. - the printer driver should be robust. It should be good to use on all OS systems. - the printer driver should take care of the ease of...

Okay I have been searching the web for a couple of days now and can not seem to find a solution. I have a USB Epson TM-T88III receipt printer with a Cash Drawer connected to it and I can not programmatically kick the drawer out... Now I can kick it out after printing as that is in the setup in the Properties of the printer. Has anyone been able to kick the drawer out with the ASC codes?

I've read several posts on the topic, but not found any answers. Her'esmy problem: Originally had two XP machines on home network (wired) called MSHOME. Worked dandy. Both pcs could access shared files on the other and both could use the printer on the primary. Replaced the primary (which has the printer) with Vista machine. Fired up the Vista and it claims to be on "Network2". Under network 2 are two workgroups: WORKGROUP which has...

Hi all, So I bought a new laptop 10 days ago to test my apps with Vista. (home premium) Apparently Office 2007 is pre-installed. (a time limited but complete test version, no SP1) So I take the opportunity to test some new features of Access2007 before actually 'stepping over'. First thing that troubles me of course is 'the ribbon', but my question now is about speed. I opened one of my Access 2000-apps in Access 2007. Speed and...

Hello guys, I am developing a Point of Sale application and recently bought the Epson TM-T88IV Thermal Receipt Printer. However, there are some aspects of the printing I am not understanding. I would like to print out a receipt of a sale when the print button is pressed by the salesperson together with a barcode at the bottom of the receipt for later usage and I will be generating the unique id for the barcode. I am just a little confused on...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
