Does anyone know if it is possible to build a scalable,
fault-tolerant middle tier by deploying .NET applications
on multiple servers?
If so, how is this done and are there coding issues that
must be adhered to? IOW, can it be handled by the
framework, COM+, MSCS, or hardware products such as Local
Director?

Hi
I'm developing a POS software using an Epson TM-T88iii printer with a
cash drawer connected to the printer. The printer is connected via a usb
interface to the pc.
Can anyone tell me how I can open the cash drawer from my VB.NET
application? The printer driver requires me to use a soft font named
"control" in the printer, and print the letter "A", but if I'm right,
the .NET framework does not support using soft fonts...

I am not sure if I am in the right group.
My problem is this:

site (www.epsonexpert.com) I have also downloaded the Epson Advanced
Printer Driver from the Epson site.
I have installed Microsot POS for .NET on a windows 2000 machine. The
installation completes but it throws an error "Error 5008....

Okay I have been searching the web for a couple of days now and can not seem
to find a solution.
I have a USB Epson TM-T88III receipt printer with a Cash Drawer connected to
it and I can not programmatically kick the drawer out...
Now I can kick it out after printing as that is in the setup in the
Properties of the printer.
Has anyone been able to kick the drawer out with the ASC codes?

The manual straightly put the steps but I think they have missed something or otherwise I !!
i can continue on and on unless someone shows up here who really have used the epson ADK setup utility...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
