Hello,
Does anyone know if there is any way to add a condition
to your setup project so that the user can choose if they
want a desktop shortcut or a program menu by selecting a
checkbox. I know that you can use conditions on files,
but I can't get it to work with shortcuts. I tried to
apply the condition to the folders instead of the
shortcuts themselves, but the setup program doesn't seem
to care. It just ignores if the checkboxes...

the rest of the projects.
all works fine.. except when i create shortcuts in my setup project to
'Primary Outoput' project, and when the shortcut is created, when i click

In my solution's Setup project, I'm adding a folder to the user's
Start Menu, and putting a couple of shortcuts in it. When I use
Add/Remove Programs to uninstall the application, the shortcuts are
deleted, but the folder stays there. Any thoughts on how I can cause
the folder to be deleted as well? Thanks.

I know .NET setup projects use "Windows Installer" shortcuts instead of
ordinary shortcuts, but I'm having trouble with those, so I'd like to
hard-code some ordinary shortcuts in the user's start menu. The problem
is, the setup project will let me put every kind of file in the start
menu except .lnk files. The one file type I need is the one file type
which seems to be rejected.
Perhaps there is some trick I don't know about. For the...

Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to get started with PHP/MySQL.
Everything I've read so far says to start with PHP first. I was
expecting something like Visual Basic Express or some other type of
free IDE. So I discovered that I needed to download a virtual server,
so I downloaded OmniSecure and followed the set up instructions as far
as I could figure them out.
So here is where I'm stuck.
1) While trying to set up and configure...

Hi!
I'm not sure is this the right place for this question, but...
I have made three separate C#-windows forms projects into same solution
using Visual Studio 2005. These projects are using same database, but
are doing different tasks - so these are like different applications.
When I built deployment release and run setup, files and starting
shortcuts of these three applications will be installed into target
computer at the same...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
