Good Day, Gentlemen:
I've been tasked with creating a screen that allows users to
double-click items from list of filenames. Each filename in the list
corresponds to a PDF file. On double-click, the corresponding PDF file
should be displayed. The catch is that the PDF viewer needs to be embedded
*inside* my WinForms app, as opposed to being externally launched. The user
needs to be able to scroll through the PDF and optionally print it.
Does anyone know how to do this? I don't mind purchasing a 3rd party
component, so long as it's a fully managed .NET component.

You can simply add the Acrobat ActiveX control to your toolbox and then
drag & drop it on your form. Easy. Or use the Web Browser ActiveX; but if
you only need to display PDF files, the Acrobat control is probably the
best option.

It's installed as part as the Acrobat Reader install so the user has to

about this ActiveX (there must be something on the Adobe web site) and in
particular determine which version of Acrobat Reader is required to support
embeding its ActiveX control in a Windows application so that you can tell
you users which version they need.

I've been trying to figure out how i can embed a Windows.Forms.ProgressBar
in my webform (aspx) file.
I have tried putting a Windows.Forms.ProgressBar as public on a regular
winform designer form (form called ProgressForm) and the built the dll.
Then I reference this new assembly from within my asp.net applicaiton and
tried to access Windows.Forms.ProgressBar from within the ProgressForm but
apparently it doesn't work.

In the good old days I believe people were using the arcane technology which
came to be known as COM+ to embed other application's document in their own
document.
Like a Word with document a Windows Media Player or Excel or Visio document
inside, double click on it and *bang* you coud start edit it using
Excel/WMP/Visio toolbar.
Apparently even OpenOffice could do that.

im using a ocx/active controls in winforms in visual studio 2005 c++
express edition.
Isnt there a way to embed the activex control so it can be distributed
with the resulting application, without the need to manually install
the ocx into the registry when the app is run a new machine.
I thought this was a feature now available, but i cant seem to get it

How can I check which tag is actually displaying the SWF? I'm using CSS
on them and the style on the OBJECT affects the EMBED tag so I'm going
