I am trying to copy selected fields from one table to another, by reading
the source table record into a recordset (ADO) and then copying the relevant
fields to an SQL statement "INSERT INTO...". The numeric and text fields
copy without a problem, but it all falls in a heap when I try to copy a
picture object field (data type OLE Object in both tables). I seem to be
missing something ???
Reduced to its simplest form, this is the code...

I'm printing to a DeskJet 5550 printer. From WordPerfect, if I have a color
document and I specify grayscale in the printer properties dialog, it prints
in grayscale as expected.
However, from a VB.NET application, I don't seem to be able to get it to
print in black and white / grayscale. It always prints in color. I have a
3rd party DLL called QuickPDF which works with PDF documents. It enables
you to specify monochrome or color as...

I have a VB.NET application running on Windows 2000 Pro. I have a DeskJet
5550 printer, with the Windows default setup specifying to print in
grayscale.
From a 3rd-Party DLL called QuickPDF, I specified monochrome and print the
document. It ignores the monochrome flag and prints in color, so I figured
QuickPDF needs to go back to the drawing board.
But then I tried transferring the document into a MemoryStream and printing
it using...

The method for printing documents in .Net can be confusing, especially
for newer users. I would like to create a way to simplify this
process. My idea would be implemented using a PrintDocument (much like
the current model), but my PrintDocument would have a Pages collection
such that each time you need to have an additional page, you would just
add another page to the collection and then use the page object for the
actual drawing etc. ...

Hello,
I have an MDE application where I use a bound object frame to display an
image. This frame is updatable and bested on the contents of an OLE field.
My problem is, some images display as the image and some display as an icon
with the file name below. The process I'm following is as follows;
Right click
Choose "Insert Object..."
Select "Create from File"

I am trying to print huge images (much bigger than target paper). I try
and use e.PageSettings.HardMarginX and e.PageSettings.HardMarginY in the
PrintDocument's PrintPage event to try and determine the maximum area
that I can print on. However, the edge of the image invariably gets cut
off, as if the HardMargin info is wrong. I posted the code below as I
can't understand what I am doing wrong. Is information in
e.PageSettings reliable?...

Hello, I'm using tiny MCE plugin on my oscommerce and it is inserting my website URL when I use insert image function in the emails.
The goal is: Make it send the email with the URL http://mghospedagem.com/images/controlpanel.jpg
instead of
http://mghospedagem.comhttp://mghospedagem.com/images/controlpanel.jpg
As u see, there's the website URL before the image URL.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies.
