Hi everyone,
Has anyone got any experience with drop and drag in Access?
I would like to make a calendar style form where my users can drop and drag
appointments....
I am using Access 2003 and I have access to .net and the like, but I would
really like to keep it simple.

I haven't worked much with drag/drop but I am trying to make a form that
accepts files to drug onto it from explorer and droped and have the form
know the full path and file name of the files dropped onto it.. does anyone
have any examples of this? thanks

I studied the Drag and Drop example that all the .Net dev sites link to: a
string is dragged from one list box to another. It all makes sense but it
doesn't explain how to determine what the object being dragged is. The code
assumes the object is a string and only verifies that is really is a string.
How can I drop into a Select Case and handle all the possible cases that the
object might be?

I have successfully implemented drag and drop in my application to
allow the reordering of columns by dragging and dropping them in the
same datagridvire (Net 2.0).
If i take it relatively slowly this works perfectly. However, if I
perform consecutive drag and drops quickly, the code seems to trip over
itself and throws the exception or other similar ones as per below.
The main problem is that no matter where I try to catch this...

The history:
I have a C# form that must accept files "drag and drop" including Outlook
messages .msg. In order to support Outlook .msg file drop, I must use Ole32
(regular .net drag and drop support can't get the content of the .msg).
Now this works fine except that when I use Ole32, I can't get the list of
files that are dropped on my form. I.e. When I select say 2 files from the
Desktop and drop it on the form, I can't get the file...

Hi,
I am trying to develop an application that allows the users to drag a few
file(s) from a zip archive to a destination.
My question is, how do i determine where the drop destination is because i
need to do some validation checking before extracting the files from the zip
archive (e.g. validate archive password).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
