MSNBC web site. Menu pops up please

I have seen at the MSNBC web site - main page - that
when an user drags the mouse over (Example ) Headlines
or Sports News then another Menu pops up, and so on.

Where can I please get info to know how to do it?

Thanks

Hi Beny,

A great book to learn from is Advanced Javascript Insights and Innovative
Techniques - Dan Livingston (ISBN: 0-13-047891-1). It has examples that you
can develop into creating that type of functionality. In addition it shows
clean, crisp ways of supporting multiple browser types that you can easily
expand to include all of today's browsers. Good luck! Ken.

Hi Beny,

You can download them here:

http://authors.phptr.com/advancedweb.../examples.html

I don't think there is a download where you can download them all at once.
That would be nice. I might have missed that link though so maybe you can.
Good luck! Ken.

All, Can someone help me solve the next step. First of all let me say I'm new to php. I pieced the following code together from samples I found on the net and a book I bought called PHP Cookbook. So please forgive me if this isn't the best approach - I'm open to suggestions I finally got my code to work that logs into another site and pulls the orderstatus page to my server.

I do a large amount of web surfing using a Mac iBook with OS 9.2, and Netscape 7.0, and seldom encounter any page display problems -- except for MSNBC news pages such as, for example http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5350645/ which I commonly get to by following links from Slate. These pages uniformly display as a very wide page with typical advertising stuff in the leftmost column, a blank middle section, and

Hello. Recently I am working on a flashy website that should work on Gecko browsers as well as IE 5.5+ I wish to acchieve this effect: a user moves cursor over a small object, perhaps an icon, a menu with 3 to 5 entries pops out like a flower, and each menu entry should be in a round. The effect is like this: gopher://realss.com/99/this_week/Diagram1.svg (or if you use non-gopher browser like IE/Opera)

Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to fix this for several days but nothing I have done so far seems to work. I have posted this message in a Google Excel Programming group, but did not receive any answers. I have a web page page that is in a frame with top and side nav bars. When I click on my "Export to Excel" button, I have code that pops up a "Loading, Please Wait" page while the Excel is being created. When the file is...

My control pops a menu (below, not directly under, the pointer) OnMouseDown, and, probably because of the loss of focus, OnDoubleClick doesn't fire any more. Is there a way to get doubleclick back without some ugly workaround? TIA, Bob

I've a treeview control containing a root node with several children on a windows form. I select a node with a left mouse button click. I then select one of the other nodes with right mouse click to bring up my context menu. The Popup event of this enables menu items depending on the node selected. The new node highlights, and my context menu pops up but I noticed that the enabled state of the menu items was incorrect. Tracing into my...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
