Hi,
I'm working on a file upload script. I need to calculate the CRC32 of the
file(s) which are successfully uploaded. How can I do this? PHP only have
CRC32 function for strings. However, the uploaded file(s) are mostly
binaries, and assumed have large size (5-12 MB per file).
Are there any ways other than CRC32 (which supported by default PHP
installation) to generate a unique hash of an arbitrary files? (the users
of my script are...

Has anyone used pure python to upload files to a webdav server over SSL?
I have no control over the server. I can access it with all of the
various webdav GUIs such as Konqueror, Cadaver, etc. by using a URL like
this:
webdavs://dav.hostname.com/user_name/uploads
My goal is to upload files automatically with a python script. The
server requires authentication over SSL which I can do with urllib2 like

Hello.
I am a web developer very worried about "bloat code" and "languages
mixture". So, since some time, I always try to avoid completely the use
of javascript in XHTML/HTML files. This leads to me to hate, also, any
event (onload, onchange, ...) instanciated in the element tag itself, like:
<input type="text" onkeyup="return doSomething();" />
I would replace this code above with an input element marked with an

Ok, I wanted to ask this separate from nospam's ridiculous thread in hopes
it could get some honest attention.
VB6 had a some simple and fast mechanisms for retrieving values from basic
text files, which in turn could be simply and easily maintained with
notepad.
I understand the benefits of XML, really, but in the case of configuration
files it seems it is almost always nothing more than unnecessary complexity,
both in accessing them...

Hi,
When I add a webform, VS generates three files:
WebForm1.aspx
WebForm1.aspx.cs (could also be "WebForm1.aspx.vb" I guess)
WebForm1.aspx.resx
What is that last file for? How can I use it?
I understand the use of (but haven't used yet..) the "stand alone" resource

Hi,
We are in process of developing an application which would contain thousands
of pages using Visual Studio .Net 2003, So I would like to ask that
1. How many files are supported in asp.net project?
2. How many files an asp.net folder may contain?
3. What are the maximum number of files in a folder to get the optimum
result?

Hi guys, i've got a pretty complex problem... it's be great if you can help.
i've written an ASP script that uses the CreateTextfile object to create a unicode html file. The html files may contain different types of languages.
i've used
<%@Codepage ="65001"%>
<%Response.Charset = "utf-8"%>
during the generation of my html files.
Now here's the thing, everything's working fine until I did a SP1 patch on my Windows 2003 server.

I've been playing around with new (for 2.0) membershp functionality.
I was able to build a simple login form that secures a directory on a
project I built locally on my development desktop.
However, when I attempt to follow the same steps on the remote test
server (a website I access via filesystem security accross my lan ).. I
get the following when I attempt to select the security tab from the
administer selection of the login...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
