Hi guys, i've got a pretty complex problem... it's be great if you can help.
i've written an ASP script that uses the CreateTextfile object to create a unicode html file. The html files may contain different types of languages.
i've used
<%@Codepage ="65001"%>
<%Response.Char set = "utf-8"%>
during the generation of my html files.
Now here's the thing, everything's working fine until I did a SP1 patch on my Windows 2003 server.
Now, all I'm getting is this blardy error when I launch the html file from my asp webpage:
Active Server Pages, ASP 0239 (0x80004005)
UNICODE ASP files are not supported.
Of course, it works if I open it direct off the directory.
Microsoft KB, as usual, is no more helpful than a piece of crap...
Thks in advance for your helpful tips.

I have an established program that I am changing to allow users to select
one of eight languages and have all the label captions change accordingly.
I have no problems with English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish or Italian.
The Polish language is causing me trouble.
From what I have read, VB supports UNICODE, in fact it uses UNICODE
internally, which means that ANY character in pretty much any language
should be readable from a UNICODE...

I have a site that needs to display text in many languages, for instance
Arabic.
the text coming from the database seems to be ok but I have a problem with
the static text. I have this in asp files but I cannot save them as Unicode
because the ASP engine does not support it - the error is as follows:
"Active Server Pages, ASP 0239 (0x80004005)
UNICODE ASP files are not supported."
The Microsoft site says not to save files as Unicode ASP...

I have a problem with bcp and format files.
We changed our databases from varchar to nvarchar to support unicode. No
problems so fare with that. It is working fine.
But now I need a format file for the customer table and and it is not
working. It is working fine with the old DB with varchar, but with
nvarchar I'm not able to copy the data. The biggest problem is, that I
got no error message. BCP starts copying to table and finished...

I have the following questions that I have not been able to find any
*good* answers for. Your help would me much appreciated!, fyi, I am a
Java XML guy and I have no experience with SGML so my questions will
probably be XML biased.
1) Is is possible to have Unicode text inside an SGML file?
an example would be something like this.......

Hello,
I have the following problem of principle:
in writing HTML pages containing ancient greek, there are two
possibilities: one is to write the unicode characters directly
(encoded as two bytes) into the HTML source, and save this source not
as an ASCII text, but as a UNICODE text file (using 16 bits per
character, also for the Western ASCII characters, which are usually
encoded as Ox00XX with XX the ASCII code) ; or to write a pure...

I'm an indie shareware Windows game developer. In indie shareware
game development, download size is terribly important; conventional
wisdom holds that--even today--your download should be 5MB or less.
I'd like to use Python in my games. However, python24.dll is 1.86MB,
and zips down to 877k. I can't afford to devote 1/6 of my download
to just the scripting interpreter; I've got music, and textures, and
my own crappy code to ship.

I need to produce bitmap files of each individual characters supported by a certain Asian font. Therefore, I am in need of looping through all the unicode support by a font.
Usually when a character is not supported by a certain Font (using Graphics.DrawString to draw on a Bitmap for example) a rectangle will be displayed instead.
Is there anyway to get the supported unicode in the form of an int?

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
