Mappoint Help

I am working with large numbers of data sets and I need to automate the
process of creating drive time zone excell spredsheet or Access outputs. Here
is my challenge....I have two push pin sets, one a set of company locations
say 100 loctions and another set of pushpins for physician locations perhaps
up to 25,000 locations in the entire state of California. In addition, for
each of these physician locations there may be up to 20 or more physician
types or as Mappoint calls them "Symbols" in the Data Mapping Wizzard. I
need to be able to automate the drive time zone distance calculation process
from each employer location to show all physicians with a 30 minute radius of
the empolyer site by type and export this information into one spreadsheet or
an access database. I have come across three constraints, ONE...there only
seems to be a limit of 8 type sets or symbols and I need more...many more at
least 20, and TWO the only way I can process drive time reports is one by one
and finally...THREE ...I cant seem to control the output excell file. I need
the output file to subsort data by type codes. Can this be automated with
Mappoint or can this be accomplished by some level of programming. In my
ideal world this would be also displayed in a nice report and extract file on
the web. Please help...this functionality/feature could change my life from
HELL to HEAVEN overnight!!!!!! ! If this is really complicated can you
reccomend a programming dude. I can do some script if someone else has done
the thinking. Thanks Bob Mortensen/Newport Beach CA

Hi. Is there anybody who have tried to use python to access Microsofts MapPoint soap services? I am trying hard but I have run into a big thick wall called md5 digest authentication. The MapPoint service uses rfc2617 to authenticate the user. I have a working account for this which works using C# dotnet and Borland Delphi 6.0. When I try to authenticate using python it fail. Here is what I do to provoke the rfc2617 challenge:

I have an address form in Access 2003 that contains the usual address information such as AddressLine1, AddressLine2, City, State, etc... I would like to put a button on this form that feeds the address info into MapPoint, along with a fixed return address, and gets driving directions - or at least get a map of the destination. I have the MapPoint software, but have not used it. Will MapPoint provide driving directions, or just a map? ...

Hi All, We have an Access XP application in which we utilize automation to control MS MapPoint 2004. It works pretty well, for the most part. Now, we would really like to use the MapPoint Control in our application to give our users active maps to interact with, but the control's help page explicitly states that it is NOT for use in Access: (With MapPoint 2004, the MapPoint Control is supported only in

Not sure if anyone in this forum can help me or not but I've tried actual Mapppoint discussion groups and they don't even answer my query. I'm getting desperate so I've attached my question and hope that someone can provide some guidance on this problem. "I have a database that uses MapPoint Control in an MS Access form and is supposed to map addresses for both Canada and the US based on values entered in the address fields on this form....

Hi, I need to be able to click onto a map and then drill down to a report. For example, could we have a map of the Chicagoland area with clickable areas (zip code) and when a user clicks on an area it would drill down to a list of stores (Crystal Reports) for that clicked area. Could Mappoint do this? If not is there something else you could recommend (Crystal Report's maps (8.5) is not very good)? Also, with our Action Pack...

I am automating mappoint in access and was wondering what is a better way to have the mappoint map running all the time: 1.call it as a seperate application OR 2. as an activex control within a form in access. Both will give me the same data results, but I am more concerned about performance. Any ideas? Thanks,

Hi, I hope this is the most relevant newsgroup for this post. I have a VB.NET app that uses the MapPoint component, and in my app I use pushpins to display/retrieve GPS locations. Occasionally, when I call: objMap.Distance(locNorthPole, locX) my code catches an exception that's raised, the exception is:

I am new to Access Monster forums. I developed an Access form which employees add their daily route. The form contains a sub-form in data-sheet (tabular) view where users add address and other information each day. (All data is stored in a database (.mdb file) on our server.) The form also contains a calendar control where one can call up routes from previous days. The sub-form is based on a query which ties to the calendar control. ...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
