Is it possible to use VS.NET 2002 to compile for .NET Framework 1.1?
I know that VS.NET 2003 would do that and I can install VS.NET 2002 and 2003
but we don't have 2003 yet and there is more and more components that
require 1.1. I don't want to use the command line compilers...
thanks,

I have a copy of MS Visual Studio 2002 Professional ACADEMIC which I
understand is the same as the regular Professional version with the
addition of a student CDROM. The installation program on the first
CDROM only copies the MSDE to the harddrive and the copied setup file
has to then be manually executed to complete the installation.
Are the SQL tools such the SQL Enterprise Manager and MS Query
included in the professional version? ...

Is is possible to install Microsoft visual studio .NET Enterprise
Developer 2002 on a Windows 2003 machine? If so what must one do
besides install an earlier version of the ASP.NET extenstions?
Windows 2003 comes with ASP.NET v1.1.4322 and my experience trying to
do this install .NET 2002 requires ASP.NET v1.0.3705, which I added
and enabled but still can't install .NET 2002.

Hello,
I bought Visual Studio 6.0 Professional several years ago as a college
student with the academic price/license. Microsoft's Upgrade Eligability
page (http://tinyurl.com/3mtga) does list VS 6.0 Professional as an upgrade,
but it mentions nothing about the academic license.
Does anyone know of a Microsoft page that states whether the academic
version may or may not be upgraded to a single license of
Visual Studio .NET 2003...

HI, all...
My company is about to move from VS.net 2002 to VS.net 2003.
Currently we have VS.net 2002 Enterprise Developer. After looking at
the Microsoft's Feature Chart
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/howtobuy/choosing.aspx) we found
that we could downgrade from EntprDev to Pro without loosing anything
that's useful to us. Testing Pro version showed no significant
differences for our projects. So, basically I am looking for...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
