Hi,
Had a problem with PsotgreSQL v7.3.4. I had a table that, after a while,
decided to give me a fit:
db=> insert into blocklist values ('2', 'km4n7s28ehiFizeYupm93Q',
'1','2','3');
ERROR: Index idx_blk_id_addr is not a btree
When I deleted and recreated the table, it worked fine. Any ideas?

I need to allow a user with the default "Full Data User" permissions
on the front-end database to relink to a table in a backend to which
he has the same permissions.
(I'd like to do read, update, insert, delete, which are the DEFAULTS
for a "Full data user", but just so you know I have also added
"Administrator" for this group in front and backends, just to try and
figure out the problem and it didn't help).

Hello, I am Helmut,
my database for multiuser is Frontend/Backend. The turnover file
is browsed by VBA for Article numbers to be found in the article table.
I use DAO 3.6 lib. The sql Statement uses the article number of the
turnover file - with 29 Fields. After record 187 or so, the Article
number, read from the turnover file
shows only a string of ten blanks.

My database table with over 680000 records started reporting "Table Full" errors, so after reading the MySQL docs I used the statement;
ALTER TABLE tbl_name MAX_ROWS=1000000000 AVG_ROW_LENGTH=16384;
To fix - I now have a table with 4700 rows!!!
I'm trying to find out how to restore the missing rows and fix the full table problem - this is very urgent.

In MS SQL 2005 when you do a Full Backup does it also backup and
truncate the transaction logs or do I need to back the transaction
logs up separately?

I copied the files from my "test" database on my old server (MySQL was not running) to my new server ("./mysql/data/test" folder), and after starting the server, SHOW TABLES; shows all of the tables that are supposed to be there, but running a SELECT * FROM `configuration`; (for example) returns "test.configuration does not exist).
I've tried the following repair statement since I'm not too familiar with backing up and restoring data.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
