htc rezound browser problems

3 New Member
The browser on htc rezound sure is different from the other mobile browsers. What exactly is the browser? I checked with a php program and the results were confusing: either netscape or safari or possibly a gecko browser? Whatever it is, the problem is that buttons or click events work differently from most other browsers (that is, they don't seem to work). I have some buttons in a popup window on a webpage, but they don't respond.

i have a problem with Mac browsers. As can be seen from the following HTML fragment i have some images that should, when clicked, open up a <div>. This works fine on all window's browsers (that i've been able to test) but is intermittent on macs. Sometimes the top level img works, sometimes it doesn't (the exact same page). Usually it doesn't. The nested image never works. Neither the onclick of the parent <a> tag nor the...

I have developed a website for a friend who uses the AOL Browser. The site works fine on Internet Explorer but as soon as he browses it via the AOL browser version 9.0 the line: var timer=setTimeout("parent.main.changeLinks('"+typeVar+"')", 500); seems to fail. No error message is received.

I'm working on a web site that could use some control using js but am concerned about what problems I may have with potential users having their js turned off. Has anyone had any serious problems with this sort of thing? I know some of these potential users are with big companies and am wondering if anyone had real problems with that.

I posted about this a few days ago, and I got a few suggestions that fixed part of my problem. I am using a PHP script to switch external style sheets when the viewer clicks on the style link. Search "Amanda H." in this group and you can view my last post to see the original PHP and html junk. This below is the updated link rel and the meta tags. Before, it wouldn't refresh or change in Opera, Firefox, or IE6/Win & IE5/Mac. The...

Hello, I have read about the problems that IE has when using a doctype of HTML 4.01 Transitional. I was advised to use Strict wherever possible. My question is, does the same apply to XHTML 1.0 Transitional? I develop sites using ASP.NET, which emits valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional, but not XHTML 1.0 Strict (for example, it includes a hidden form field with the name of _VIEWSTATE, which isn't valid in Strict, but is in Transitional).

Hi, I am having lots of cross-resolution (and also cross-browser) problems. I would like to know what is the most recommended solution for this type of issue: * Should I use different CSS for different resolutions? I don't like this solution because than I will have to maintain 2 large CSS files. * Should I just query the resolution each time there's a problematic div, and than add the relevant div accordingly? E.g.: if (screen.width ==...

I'm trying to find a cross browser solution for editing text in a flickr photo caption manor where the text is displayed in a <div> or <a> tag but changes to a <textarea> via JS when clicked. There are two problems. 1. setting the focus on the new textarea 2. keeping the new text value when switching back to normal text. Firefox: focuses fine but does not keep the new text value Safari: focuses then instantly looses focus again, and...

I have inherited src in very large visual studio 2005 .net project from a developer who left me after 12 years. So am struggling a bit to get back on my feet with the project. One thing I am noticing is recent browser problems, for example drill down actions no longer working - I think it is related to xLibrary .js scripts that have changed - I am not sure how to update these and not wanting to create more errors in the process. I went to...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
