I have a script that connects to a remote db to display the content I
need. The connection worked great when it resided on a windows box.
I recently moved the page to a linux box. And now when it tries to
connect to the DB the pages just hangs (no error). When I comment out
the connect script, it loads the page (without the data).
Any ideas?

Hi,
After deploymnet web application on web server I can access page on local
machine and login fine but when I'm trying to access web site from remote
machine I can see login page, but when I'm trying to login with correct
credentials it give me error:
Server Error in '/PDVMgr' Application.

I need to be able to conditionally load a remote script, using
the "<script src=..." syntax. Or some other way. I've seen
people writing about using the document.write method, but it's
not working like I want it to.
What's happening is, if I do a document.write(scriptcall), the

Right...have loads of C++, SQLServer experience but about 5 minutes of
JavaScript, ASP etc.
Spent a frustrating 2 days deciding the best way to get some data from
a SQL database, then cached in the browser so it could be used by a
number of pages without repeated database querying. No idea which is
the most current v obsolete technology.
Remote scripting seemed feasible but is this on the way out. Tried

I have an ASP.NET web page accessing a SQL database. I've used VS to build
the app and stored it in the eNPTest02 directory of my localhost on my
development machine. The database is on the web. I've found a way that
works on the web, and I'm trying to get it to also work in debug mode in the
IDE. The "on the web" page and my SQL database are hosted by a third party
(on separate servers).
Since debug mode opens IE and loads my page...
