I'm just transcoding my HTML pages from Quirks to Standard mode. Doing so I noticed that whenever a frame's content overflows its frame, TWO scroll bars appear in Standard mode, a vertical and a horizontal one.
I understand that the vertical scroll bar hides a part of the body and thus the horizontal scroll bar appears. Nonetheless the horizontal scroll bar appears to be odd from my point of view.
Which properties could I possibly set to...

Hi!
I've just started using the XVT portability kit in my C++ application,
which has a lot of dialogs with list boxes.
I ran into an issue when I started using the list boxes. The horizontal
scroll bars doesn't seem to appear even if I enable it. I know that
when we use MFC, we need to make the width of the column greater than
the list box. I could not find an XVT function that does this. Did
anyone ever have a similar problem? Could...

We are using the ASP:Menu control (horizontal) for site navigation. The menu
is contained by a table with css styles that allows us to give the illusion
of a menu bar that runs the entire width of the page. This table also has
additional right aligned cells on the same row for such things as logging out.
When the child menu items are displayed by the mouse hovering over a menu
item, the width of the web page is apparently increasing,...

Hi everyone,
I've got a select box with multiple="yes" with fixed width.
Unfortunately the content that goes into the box is too wide (and I
can't make the box any bigger due to layout restrictions). Is there
anyway of placing horizontal scrollbars on the select box so that the
user can scroll the box to read the rest of the lines? I'm using FF 1.5
and IE 6.
Does anyone have any solutions to get around this problem?

The browser will open a new window size 200x200, not allow resize and
no auto horizontal, vertical scrolling bars.
I am wonder can I do the similar inside a HTML file like

Hi,
I need to have a table along with other UI items in page which resizes horizontally and vertically with the browser window. That means table should accoupy the remaining available space in the browser window and should display horizontal and vertical scroll bars if content of table is more than available width & height.
I can do similer to this by enclosing table in a <DIV> with style as : overflow:auto; height:200px etc.
But things...

I am developing an application in Access 2000 (A2K) which has multiple
forms and subforms. Until now, all subforms displayed scroll bars
properly (according to the subform's property setting). However, a
new subform control will not display horizontal scroll bars despite
it's form's property setting.
I have tried deleting and recreating both the subform control and the
subform itself thinking this would address the issue. I also tried...

For some reason I can't get vertical or horizontal scroll bars to function at all. They show up at run time, but look like their disabled. I need to make sure that anyone with a low screen resolution will be able to see the whole form of my program. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
