Is it possible to add some entries in the firefox's cookies.txt file?
Thanks

If you use cookies, it should be added automatically, I think.

Hi,
I know it adds values automatically, but one think it does't adds is password. If we have a login page then it contains "remember me" check box. By checking that box, the entered username is stored in cookie but not password. So now I need to edit this cookie file so that i can put info regarding password in the cookie. So is this possible?
Thanks

You don't need to set the password in the cookie file. You just need to remember that the user is logged in. If logged in, there's no need to show the login page.

I've got a 4-page form that lets users enter a whole lot of information,
which is then submitted and emailed at the end. All the fields are
stored as session data.
The whole thing works fine:
1. On my local box (WinXP / Apache2 / PHP4) using IE6
2. On my local box using Firefox1
3. On my hosted server (RHLinux / Apache1.3 / PHP4) using IE6

Hi
I'm using several Sessions in my app. When the user has cookies enabled in
their browser, everything works fine. But with cookies disabled, only IE
seems to remember the sessions. In Firefox and Safari, the session values
seem to be "forgotten".
I've looked around on Google but can't find any solutions to this problem.
Plus I don't know how debug with Firefox (eg. step through the code).

Using javascript to set cookies is apparently not working in Firefox.
Here's a simple test page that works in IE, Opera, Netscape, but not
Firefox (The javascript is right on the page):
http://web.njit.edu/~jmb2/Joel/test_css2.php
In any of the browsers besides Firefox, you can set a cookie using PHP
or Javascript, but with Firefox (with the code I'm using), you can only
set a cookie using PHP.

Hello,
I'm having trouble getting MSIE 6.0 (running on XP SP2) to accept a
cookie which works fine in both Firefox and wget. The web server is Boa
0.94.13 (a small embedded server) using PHP 4.3.10 for CGI.
Even with the lowest security settings in MSIE there is no cookie
acceptance, and no "Cookie:" HTTP header is being sent back by MSIE.
This is the php code for a fairly minimal testcase:

When run from local files, my javascript code sets cookies properly and they are visible under the Firefox options. Unfortunately, document.cookie returns an empty string as if cookies are not enabled. The Firefox 'Exceptions - Cookies' menu buttons are not enabled unless a host name is provided so I can't force enable cookies for the local file.
The javascript works from local files in IE and from remote files in both IE and Firefox. Does...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
