Hello everyone. I have been following misc posts, as well as reading several
FAQ's on this issue, unfortunatley I cannot locate a solution. I am hoping
that someone will be able to provide me with the simple answer. My problem
has to do with the leading white spaces after the first line when calling
data using the @ variable. Here is my code:

Hi all,
I find a JavaScript that limits the field length in a textarea, but it
is not completed.
The script does not handle the copy and paste case. For example, says
the textarea field length is limited to 5 and a 6-character length
text is pasted, no event is triggered. (The script only handles
onKeyPress and onKeyUp)

I'd like to use regular expressions to remove extraneous Carriage Return
Line Feeds (CrLf) from a textarea before the form is submitted.
I'd like to remove all trailing CrLf's and convert all instances of 3
consectutive CrLf's to just 2.
I first escape() the textarea and match "%0D%0A" (i.e. CrLf).
Here's what I've been testing; watch for word-wrap:
