Hi Everyone,
I am using the API of a particular printer driver, to pre-specify settings
specific to that printer driver. After which the API has methods to create a
printer driver context, which is to be sent to print command of the document
I want to print. In this case, it is the html file which I open in the
browser control which I want to print using these settings. How do I send
this printer driver context generated by this printer...

When i right click on the .rpt file in the VS 2003, i see a property
printer setting.
It says "No printer" on the top and there is option to select printer
and paper settings etc..
I want to know how will this affect a report rendered by a crystal
viewer.
I have a web page with a crystal viewer rendering the report on the
page.
I build my application in one of my development machines and deploy it

I need to within code control some printer settings before raising the print dialog... I need to set some properties for the printer such as "The Printer to Print too", Page settings such as paper type (according to the list associated with the printer driver itself) and orientation... It would be nice to programmically control the printer, paper settings and orientation all together to avoid the print dialog and the potential for the user to...

I have a graphic file demo program that almost works. My form has a
PageSetupDialog, PrintPreview, PrintDialog, and a PrintDocument control.
Sample code follows.
Now here is the quesion. When I open the PrintDialog control, there is a
dropdown to select a printer from the list of available printers. However,
the PageSetupDialog sets the properties of the "selected" printer. How do I
find and select one of the available printers so I...

Is there a way to change the DEFAULT printer settings for an installed
printer? I want it to change the printer settings for a specified
printer at the whole OS/Windows level, not just for the application.
Specifically, I need to change the default papersize for the printer
for about 150 remote users.
I've tried changing the paper size for the printer using the
PrintDocument class, but that doesn't seem to change the default paper
size...

Hi everybody,
sorry for my English first of all.
I've an ASP page (ASP 3.0) used on an intranet which fill up some particular
Mail sheets getting data from a database.
Those pre-compiled sheets are then showed in IE 6 for checking and then have
to be printed.
To correct printing the sheets I have to change the print margins and paper
orientation from IE 6 settings.
Reading around it looks like I can't change IE 6 print settings without

Please excuse my cluelessness on the subject - this is the first time I've worked with printing in VB (and it may be the last) and the more I work with it, the more confused I become...
First, I'm setting the printer's scale and the X,Y position of the output:
Sub SetLargePrinterScale(obj As Object, VertPosition As Single)
Dim Owid As Single
Dim Ohgt As Single
Dim Pwid As Single
Dim Phgt As Single
Dim Xmid As Single

Greetings all!
My problem is this. I've installed a new printer on my computer.
This is the "default printer" for access. Now, some of my reports,
which were working fine with the old printer, are now showing up with
an odd view (very enlarged) in preview. If I go to page setup, and
choose specific printer to then look at the paper size listed in my
default printer, it shows Hegaki Card 100mmX148mm instead of letter.
It seems as...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
