Find the client browser ip-adress

KS
Is it possible to get a client browser ip-adress when it access my webpage?
If the client is behind a network from a company can I get the ipadress
gateway where the client is behind or is it i only possible to get the
client ipadress?

I want to somehow deny everyone except the one with the correct
ip-adress/range.

Not safely with any clientside script.

With serverside script,
like ASP j[ava]script it is quite possible,
as long as you mean the external IP:

<script runat="server" language="jscri pt">
var q = request.serverv ariables("remot e_addr");
if (q != "123.456.789.10 0") response.end;
</script>

Hi, I am running apache on local pc/ under Windows. I need to figure out the ip number of the pc inside PHP. This is the number available when you do ipconfig, and not the 127.0.0.1! So the slow way I have figured out is to do a system call to doc, using `ipconfig`, and then regex the result and figure out the ip. Is there a fater/more efficient way to do this? --

//crossposted to: comp.lang.javascript, alt.comp.lang.javascript in an effort to get factual answers from JavaScript experts// Simply put; Is it possible to obtain the real (actual) IP address of someone (client) that visits a web site through an anonymous proxy if this person ONLY has JavaScript enabled in their browser? This is NOT a question about PHP, perl, VBScript, Java(.class), or ActiveX. Let us _only_ deal with JavaScript for...

Does anybody knows the solution if this problem? If we wrote the ASPX page and send the request to the remote browser the remote client browser returns the remote machine IP using by this machine on the remote LAN, but the remote router of this LAN substitutes the LAN address by the correct external, public one and we receive the correct public IP of the remote network. I want to get the same IP using the remote Windows Application, not...

Hi, I am a newby in ASP.NET, and till now wrote only simple "classic" WEB-sites. But - the time came, and now I need that: 1. Server will "listen" for some events on its local machine 2. According to event received (say - event ID), it will update client pages, that need updating based on this ID (if currently there exist clients that are interesting in specific ID). The good example of such site - airport flight information, when...

Hi all, I'm trying to write some code in a business layer which will audit the IP address that the request is coming from. If the business layer is being called from a web app, I'd like to get the IP address of the client browser, but if the business layer is being called from a desktop app, i'd like to capture the desktop's IP address.

I have searched high and low (and even in some places I'd like to forget I ever saw) for the information that will tell me exactly how the Nat2Nat server for UltraVNC works (not just a vague diagram, but the code needed - at least psuedocode - to connect the 2 clients) . (You can see it at http://www.uvnc.com/addons/nat2nat.html.) I get the diagram and all, but how exactly would you get 2 UDP connections to your UDP server to start...

Hi, I wrote a script which reads a formular from a forum loginpage. It automatically fills in my credentials an logs me in when I hit submit. I have secured the path to the script with a .htaccess file. I have now a problem with one site which generates some kind of checkcode. The checkcode is placed in a hidden input field. I read the remote page with the "file(url)" command an parse it with PHP to a new formular with my credentials.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
