My question is the following:
I have a javascript that should open a page from a subdir on my website:
/image html/file.htm
It has to do this via a link: <A href="functionname('file.htm')
The problem is I can't find out what to put in front of the file name to
indicate that the file is in a subdirectory on the webserver.
I have tried ../subdir/file.htm and the entire url to the file but that
doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know what...

A while ago I proposed to update info in the group FAQ section, but I
dropped the discussion using the approach "No matter what color the cat
is as long as it still hounts the mice". Over the last month I had
enough of extra proof that the cat doesn't hount mice anymore in more
and more situations. And the surrent sicretisme among array and hash is
the base for it.
I summarized all points in this article:...

Hello everyone.
I am not fluent in JavaScript, so I might overlook the obvious.
But in all other programming languages that I know and that
have associative arrays, or hashes, the elements in the
hash are alphabetically sorted if the key happens to
be alpha numeric. Which I believe makes sense because
it allows for fast lookup of a key.

Hi,
Just had an interesting message from someone who was unable to view one of
my sites because they have JavaScript turned off, and expecting me to
re-write my site so that they could view it...
I'm interested in hearing other people's opinions about this. I use
JavaScript all the time, and can't really imagine ASP.NET development
without it...

Hi,
I have a problem that I have been trying to figure for a couple of days,
and am wondering if anyone out there would be so kind as to give me a
solution. (Deadline time)
I am trying to validate a form. Its quite a simple form, but I am a wee
bit stuck. Baically it consists of 9 text input fields and a select
element. All elements on the form, have to have a value in them
(manditory), BUT 2 items (txtEmail, and txtDOB) have to match...

I am not sure if anyone of you have had such experience.
I am trying to use a popup calendar control in my web application.
I've tried all kinds of 3rd-party date pickers. For example, the RJS
Popup Calendar, the DaintyDate date picker, the AjaxControlToolkit's
popup calendar, Matt Kruse's javascript popup calendar.
Normally, all of them work with no problem.
But, if I put any of them in a non-default View of a MultiView, I

ASP.NET
I have an application which use ASP.NET Autocomplete extender which works
great. But I have a question how to update all the fields on the screen
using Ajax.
Users starts typing in a text field which causes the Autocomplete extender
to display 10 like items, after the users selects an item (which is a key in
the database) I want the application to go to the database retrieve a record
and populate the fields.

I made a change to the FAQ of javascript to EcmaScript.
I got some feedback that the newsgroup is CLJ and the language is
commonly referred to as JavaScript. Therefore, the word in the FAQ
should be JavaScript.
So I'm asking: what should I use in the FAQ?
Technically, 'JavaScript' is Mozilla's implementation of Ecma-262.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
