Hello
I am trying to position two floats inside a table column.
<td>

<div style="position:absolute; left:0px; width:60%>... </div>
<div style="float:right; width:30%></div>
</div></td>

I've got a calendar that is based on the concept of lots of blocks that are
spans with float:left. I would like to be able to have a detail section on
the right side of the screen, so that when the user selects an item on the
calendar, the detail can get displayed on the right side there. What I
have below appears to look perfect in mozilla based browsers - the detail
is aligned at the top right corner of the calendar, but in IE the...

I've googled around, and asked everyone I know, but I still can't find
any reference to anyone else having faced this particular IE bug with
floats.
I've put a page at http://dochawk.org/sample.html . This was made by
stripping out the google ads from the regular pages. It validates as
strict 4.01 at http://validator.w3.org. (The google ads drive it nuts!)
The main (right) column is made with alternating left and right floats

I am trying to achieve a simple page layout using only divs and css. I know that
people bad mouth IE for non-conformance, but in this case IE's(6.0)behaviour is
entirely the way I expect, and Gecko (Firefox/1.0) is, well, not.
I have a left menu div, and a right content div, float left, the width of which
is auto. My intention is that the content should fill the space to the right of
the menu.
In IE putting a float right div in the...

HELP: Float Left box is drifting to the right in ie!
--------------------------
I need som HELP with my CSS coding!
On the following web page my design falls apart at screen size 800 x
600 (looks fine at larger screen sizes) when the left menu box that
should float left is drifting to the right in Internet Explorer 6.0 (it
doesn't drift to the right in Netscape 7.1).

Hello all,
I am faced with some logic that I am unsure how to handle. Imagine that
I am running a WMI query and I am outputting the data into a
dynamically created ASP table control. Here is my code that does this.
I have left out the portion that connects to my server and the query,
but this should be enough to show what I am doing. Basically it is a
web page that queries SMS for clients in a certain collection, then
outputs the name...

Hi.
I am learning my way around formatting DIVs
and am stuck. Can somebody tell me how to
format the below so the left column is, say, 30%
wide and the right column is the remainder. And, there is a
5px space between the right and left columns?
<div class="calTable">
<div class="calRow">

Using IE7, I'm trying to display a table in a horizontal manner by
floating the rows.
The following html does not work, displaying the table vertically as if
the rows were not floated.
This same html does work correctly in firefox.
<table style="width: 100%">
<tr style="float: left">
<td>col1</td>
</tr>

Greetings,
I´m back here to show the new version of the drag & drop table columns (original script ). I´ve found some issues with the old script, specially when trying to use 2 tables with drag&drop on the same page (which was not possible). Now i´ve a new concept of the script, more object oriented.
I´ve also commented the whole code so you guys can easier understand it engine.
What exactly we need when trying to make a column drag &...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
