I have recently seen some code in a style sheet to change the colors
and such of a scroll bar, specifically:
scrollbar-arrow-color: #BA613F;
scrollbar-face-color: #500F09;
scrollbar-base-color: #500F09;
scrollbar-dark-shadow-color: #BA613F;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #BA613F;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #BA613F;
This does some warm effects, as you can tell if you can read
hexacolor. When I go through the W3C's validator, though, it comes up
as an error. Is this something in development, something that only
works on IE, or an exploit of something weird?
Thanks in advance,

Well, that is because it is error.
Is this something in development,
No, it is MS spesific stupidity.

It also 'works' on some other browsers, and most of them have setting to
enable/disable it

Microsoft "extension" to CSS. Generally you shouldn't be fiddling with
the user interface of the browser anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it. This thread has been closed and replies have been disabled. Please start a new discussion. Similar topics |

I dragged a datagrid onto a VB.Net WinForm and used the properties page and a
few lines of code to set it up, including the DataSource. No wizard setup
was used. It works fine except for one thing: there is no vertical scrollbar
even there are more lines than can be shown on the datagrid. There is plenty
room on the right for the scrollbar but it is not there. If there is a
scrollbar property for the .Net datagrid like in the VB6 DBgrid,...

I'm new to scripting so this may be painful.
I have created a JavaScript/HTML/CSS page.
In the CSS code I set the colors for the scroll bars:
* {scrollbar-arrow-color:#000}
* {scrollbar-face-color: #697210}
these are the default colors.
In the HTML code I can use this same thing should I need to change

Hey all...
My boss typically dislikes the packaged components, and so I'm
wondering if there's any code out there to modify the way a scrollbar
looks. I'd love to change colors and, if possible, the arrow buttons.
I've seen http://www.codeproject.com/vb/net/corescrollbar.asp and
tried getting it to work, but so far I'm not impressed... the code is
very chunky and frustrating to work with. Any other ideas out there?

Although the ScrollBar class has BackColor and ForeColor properties, these
properties don't seem to have any effect.
Is this correct? If so, is it possible to change the color of a ScrollBar?

First, I posted a similar request for help in another group and now
don't find the posting. Problem with my newsreader perhaps ... but
apologies if this appears as a cross posting.
My code is inconsistent in the detection of a vertical scrollbar. This
involves situations when less than the client area is needed to hold
the small amount of data. The inconsistency is when adjusting the
panel size within or just below the bottom row....

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
