horizontal aligning with div's

I got two <div>'s, one of them with float:right, but they aren't aligned
hrizontally at the same level, when viewed in ie. in opera it works
fine, the second div is on the same height as the first one.
THe two divs are also nested in a third one, which got an absolute
height of 15px, but ie ignores that completely.
is tehre a way round this, or do i have to live with that?

Mike

Look at the comments section. The Comment - title should be 15px high
and the buttons to edit/delete/hide the comment should be at the right.
In Opera (7.11) it displays, as i would like it, in ie6 the title is 2
lines high.

Hi When I zoom into my site (http://www.petermount.au.com) with Opera 7.54 the horizontal scrollbar doesn't show when the site image is bigger than my screen. Yet the horizontal scrollbar shows in print preview and when I turn css off in Opera. Could it be a problem with my css? The code is: html{ padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0;

I've got a grid inside a div so that it's got scroll bars around it. What I want to do is have the header row fixed at the top, so that the vertical scroll bars scroll just the data rows of the grid while the horizontal scroll bar scrolls both the data and the header row. The only way I can think of doing it is putting the data portion as a...

Hi guys I'm using a div to create a list with ajax stuff. At the moment, the div shows a scrollbar if the content is larger than the div. The problem is that if it isnt, the scrollbar disappears and all my content resizes, which obviously I don't want. I know I can use overflow: auto on the div, but that shows a horizontal scrollbar as...

I have a ASP.Net datagrid wrap in the following div: <DIV id="divPart2" style="OVERFLOW: hidden">. Another div controls the horizontal scrolling: <DIV id="scroll1" style="OVERFLOW: scroll; WIDTH: 800px; LINE-HEIGHT: 0px; HEIGHT: 17px" onscroll="javascript: document.getElementById('divPart2').scrollLeft = this.scrollLeft;"> scrolls the...

I have a table that sizes to take up most of the page's width. The (mostly empty) rightmost cell of a particular row starts off as wide as it can, but it might be that it gets something that exceeds its initial width, such as a long web address. In this case, I would like the horizontal overflow to be active. However, it seems that if I...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
