I would appreciate some help on how to convert a database table into an html
file via FSO and whether more seasoned asp programmers recommned this route.
The main reason I am attempting to do this is becuase we are constantly
being told by so-called marketing gurus that 'html' pages are more search
engine friendly.
Other advantages include speed of download.
Will there be any problems with using this approach besides establishing...

I am at the beginning of a new project, and want to have my developers work
on the Help files as we are developing the new application forms. Since
most of my previous work has been in the ASP arena, I am not familiar with
Help file authoring tools and process. Can anyone point me to a good
description of the process of help file development and any good (and cheap)
tools?
TIA

I often come upon web pages that do not allow themselves to be saved as a
..html file (complete), but do allow themselves to be saved as .mht files.
In some cases, I find that there is no way to save the web page other than
by, say, saving as a PDF file.
What causes this to occur?
What needs to be done when authoring to avoid such a problem?

I am doing a project for school that involves creating help files for a html
authoring tool.
If you could help me with answers to some questions it would really help.
1. What tasks do you expect an html authoring tool to help you accomplish?
2. What do you expect from online help for a html authoring tool?
3. What audience do you think a freeware html authoring tool is directed
towards?

Help!
I need to know what permissions (NTFS?) I need to set when authoring a web
application in VS.NET. I've previously been logging in as Administrator but
since tightening up security on my home pc, I'd like to use another
(non-admin) user account.
One of the problems is when I I login as a non-admin user and try and
open/create a web project using 'front page server extensions' as the web
access method. A dialog pops up asking me...

panix.user.html, comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html
question about #exec
Are there any obvious errors in the html code below? All except the #exec
command function as would be expected, but there is no action from
exectst.cgi - a compiled c program that's shown under the html code.
This is being tested from one of panix.com's shell accounts which, I
beleive, will accept html code with an #exec command.

I am a parent volunteer for a swim team website (makoswim.org) and am
looking for a recommendation for a new web authoring tool .
While I am technically oriented and have somehave some knowledge of
HTML but not a deep techie. I want to give this site an extreme
makeover. The tool I've been using has probably outlived it's
usefulness (IBM Websphere Home Page Builder
- out of support).
I need something easy to use. I'd like to add...

I am currently working on an ms access application for a large insurance

Unfortunately the application has already been built - and till now we used
to run the application/reports by logging in as admin.. however, we now want
that users login to the database as a 'user' with limited privileges- but
the vba code, which is locked to run with privileges...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
