I am writing a photo gallery and suppose 8 photos are displayed. When the
user clicks on a button under the picture, I want it to add that picture
name to a "favorites" list within the session data, but NOT leave the page
the user is on. How could I do this?
thanks

I'd like to build a function that is executed when someone clicks on an
image. Once clicked, I need some parameters passed to a URL which PHP
will accept and deal with database connections. Sounds simple, and is
simple. The only thing that stumps me is that I do not want that PHP page
loaded anywhere that someone would see it. And preferably no frames if
possible.
Any suggestions?

Hi all,
I'm trying to create a page that has a user-selectable page auto-refresh
option (IE 5.5). Essentially, it's a page that contains a checkbox, when
the user checks the checkbox, I'd like the page to auto-refresh every 4
seconds....if the user un-checks the checkbox, I'd like to turn off the auto
refresh.
The page is as follows:

Hi,
i have a server that recieves data often from a third party data provider
often. I would like to PUSH this data to the client webpage, WITHOUT having
to force the user to hit refresh or without having to use client side polling
and autorefresh. Once recieved on the client, i can use something like DHTML
to add it to a table.
Any suggestions on how to go about this or what is the best technology to
use for doing this? Any sample...

I am using .Net 2003 on a XPPro running IIS.
I am unable to view any of my ASPX webforms in a browser
unless I modify the .ASPX file
and replace Codebehind="employee.aspx.cs" with
src="employee.aspx.cs".
It looks like my bin/employee.dll file is not being used.
Instead, my employee.aspx.cs file
is being used.

Hi,
I have a page written in ASP.net c# witch has a datalist with 200 records
(in Itemtemplate). Each record includes nine webcontrol radio buttons as a
group. The user will need to check through all 200 records and select the
choices by clicking on the radio button. Every time the radio button is
clicked, the selected choice needs to be sent to the database. I set the
radio button autopostback = "true", therefore each time user clicks...

I have an asp.net 2.0 app that uses a sitemap, Master Page, and has
several content pages. While this feature has simplified the process of
creating a data-driven site menu, it does seem to have some big
restrictions.
Namely, maintaining state on the Master Page across all content pages.
I simply want to keep track of a key value across all content pages.
The only solution I can come up with is using a session variable, which
I hate.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
