Looking for this entity in the HTML List

Hi,

Does anyone know how to display this entity in HTML.

 but i need it to be filled with black and not empty.
Basically it is a black square bullet. (I dont know why its not
showing up here ...
The &#61607 is a square bullet which is not filled and i need it to be
filled)

....I cannot use UL or OL with type="square" coz i need an HTML output
like this:

Cars  Trucks  Planes  Bicycles

Or can i use OL or UL for this???

Any suggestions, ideas would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Russ

AFAIK it is not available.

I guess you have to do a little GIF graphic with a little
black square.

Bye,
Thomas

If that's a solution, then the problem was a bit odd. The reason is that the
character is not widely supported by WWW browsers.

Since you logically have an unnumbered list, you should simply use <ul>
markup and worry about presentation later, in the CSS part of your project.

However if you worry about lack of sufficient support to CSS properties that
you would need for the desired visual appearance, putting the items into a
simple sequence with some explicit separators is a common and fairly
harmless workaround. But using a poorly supported special character isn't a
good idea. How many speech browsers, for example, do you expect to be able
to read the black square smoothly and understandably? And what does a user
think when a graphic browser displays it e.g. as a question mark?

It's better to use an image, embedded e.g. with
<img alt="|" src="square.gif ">
