Hi,
I got a problem while renendering a menu and combobox on a page. The
problem is stated below.
As per my requirement I have to display a menu on top of the page and
a combo box just below it. While dragging the mouse over the menu, the
submenu items should appear over the combobox. I go for ZINDEX, assign
a lower ZINDEX to the combo box than that of the menu, but still the
combobox appears over the menu items.

Hello all,
I have an absolute positioned parent div, and nested inside it is an
absolute positioned child div -- I mean the div *code* is nested
inside, but the child is physically positioned so that it's completely
outside the parent div (to the left of its parent, in a left-side
margin area). The child div contains hyperlinks.
Explorer 6 (on Windows) has no problem with this. However, in Netscape
6, the links are unclickable. I...

Is it possible in IE6+NS7 to center-align a div of fixed width which
itself contains elements which use "position: absolute"?
Using "margin-left: auto" and "margin-right: auto" works well to center
something, but the absolute-positioned contents of the outside layer
will be stuck to the left of the window...!
Thanks a lot!

Hello, Group,
I hope it's OK for me to ask this question here, since I'm a "dabbler", not
a "programmer".
What I'd like to do, if it's possible, is find a reference or
example/template that will show me how to create a "quote gallery" that
uses a mouseover/mouseout to show/hide text in a layer - the idea is that,
when the visitor mouses over a quote title, the appropriate text is called
from a separate file and shows in a reserved and...

Is there really any advantage to using DIV elements with float style
properies, vs. the old method of TABLE and TR and TD?
I'm finding that by using DIV, it still involves the same number of
elements in the HTML to get everything just right. When you consider
the class attribute on the DIV elements, there's not much size savings
anymore for using DIV.
There are other disadvantages to not using TABLE/TR/TD, such as the
lack of ability...

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could provide a script that would help me position a layer relative to a table in my HTML file?
I searched all over the web and couldn't find anything. Basically I want my layer to be positioned say 50px left and 50px above the bottom of a table.
How do I determine the coordinates of a cell with Javascript? document.getelementbyid('test').offsetxxxx commands don't seem to work.
Anyone? I would greatly...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

The next Access Europe User Group meeting will be on Wednesday 1 May 2024 starting at 18:00 UK time (6PM UTC+1) and finishing by 19:30 (7.30PM).
In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
