Display problems

My website seems to be different in different browsers, it only displays correctly in Chrome and Safari for some reason, anyone have any ideas? I designed using Chrome because most people I know use this browser, I don't rate IE anyway but it seems to be different in firefox as well.
The site is still in progress so is in my test directory here

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm doing the following to try to display queried data into verticle columns, and I'm getting odd behaviors. For example, if there are only 4 items to display, it skips item number 3: Item1 Item4 Item 2 If there are 10 items, it duplicates some: Item 1 Item 4 Item 7

I manage our mySQL database through putty (SSH terminal client). And whenever I do a select * from the table that contains ENCODEd passwords, the funky characters do funky things with the display. From doing weird alignment things, to making it so that so long as those characters are visible, the display is always scrolled to a line where one of those screwy ASCII characters are. I can scroll up or down, but as soon as I type something on...

I have a strange problem with IE 5.x which does not show up on other browsers / systems. http://www.westerntrainerin.com/ It is in basic.css on line 186 (inserted Tantek Hack to make the content visible in IE5, otherwise it would be hidden) where I have a problem with _margin: 0 0 30px 166px;_ which works well in all browsers, except for IE5.

We have two widescreen laptops in our office, and one client laptop that does not display our applications properly. Specifically, when displayed in a wide screen resolution it appears that bitmaps on our forms become shrunk. This causes items to no longer lineup properly and become unusable. We have contacted the video card maker for the laptop and downloaded the latest drivers for the card, along with contacting dell. We still have the...

Hi, I apologize for asking this question here, but I didn't see a NG for third party controls... If anyone has experience working with Intersoft's WebGrid Professional datagrid control, please help! I'm having nothing but problems trying to get it to display a heirarchical dataset. Has anyone had any success binding it dynamically? I'm using C# in VS.NET 2003.

I recently converted a large site to Mambo. It has come to my attention that Mac users (IE and Firefox browsers) cannot view the content of the site, though they can view the navigation. Having only Linux and Windows systems available, I cannot test and troubleshoot the site to fix. http://www.med-library.net/ The CSS validates (with lots of warnings) and there are only a couple small HTML validation problems. There are no JS...

I'm a senior citizen with a tech background, though a newbie to programming and style sheets. I'm usually able to make HTML and css changes to existing designs, but I'm stuck on this one and would like some help. I'm using Amaya as an HTML/XTML editor and my pages comply with the XML standards. The web pages display perfectly on my Windows XP, service pack 3, home pc, with either Firefox 3 or IE 7 (I think). However, when I move the pages to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
